August 15, 201214 yr We'll Its been a while since I've posted a new question because, we'll..... The new members have been making quite a few new ones . But anyway...... Do you like the route that the train takes at Kings Island? Do you wish it was different? If Kings Island took up all the train tracks and put new ones, Where would you rather that the train took you?
August 15, 201214 yr Please no. If the tracks are ever removed at this point, they may end up as salvage. CBS almost did that. See Kings Dominion. Or the Carowinds monorail. Say what you want about Dick Kinzel, and Lord knows I have, but the man loved trains. Here's hoping Matt Ouimet does, too.
August 15, 201214 yr I'd like for it to not go to the waterpark. Removing the SC station would do, no need for new tracks/ layout!
August 15, 201214 yr Don't even suggest making changes to the RR layout. While I might prefer a more interesting atmosphere to accompany the train, I also recognize that we have something special and would hate to lose it.
August 15, 201214 yr Yea don't I like the train they change anything they'll end up salvaging it for a new ride or something like that.
August 16, 201214 yr I wouldn't mind if they made a station on the other side of the park! That way it increase ridership and allows people a break of walking!
August 16, 201214 yr I do love the train. I also wish it also had another station besides SC. I think I've got the mental image of Lesourdesville's Tombstone Territory in my brain, where you took the train or the steamboat to another part of the park.
August 16, 201214 yr I think brand train would be nice, but they should keep the old train too. If they were to build a new train I think it shoul go all around the park with multiple stations throughout the park so it could be used to transport people from side of the park to another.
August 16, 201214 yr I rode CP's railroad yesterday and the skeletons and props were much more entertaining. Onne building looked like it was actually was on fire. It was really neat, I hope they do that.
August 16, 201214 yr After working on the train crew for a year, I can say that if it wasn't for the water park stop that it makes, ridership would be so far down, it would not be feasible to keep the train in operation. While, as a worker, I wasn't thrilled about working the water park stop (hot, little to no shade, quite honestly some of the most drunk and idiotic guests I've ever had the honor of working around,) the fact remains that the average guest is not interested in just riding around the train. My proof? Ride the train before the water park opens in the morning, and in between 9-10 at night. Most of the time, we ended up just sitting on the train for an hour waiting for people to show up to ride.
August 16, 201214 yr I love the train. I like to sit in the very back and sometimes you'll get a really friendly ride op back there, and you can have great conversations. I really like riding it at night, and I've heard that the Haunt that involves the train isn't bad either.
August 16, 201214 yr I wouldn't mind if they made a station on the other side of the park! That way it increase ridership and allows people a break of walking! I'm so confused, are you kidding, or what? There are two stations...one in Soak City, & one in Kings Island, in Rivertown...

I remember, before I transfored to Train, I got sent and stood at BB station for 4 hours strait. I hated that station. Also, I've been there when we were sitting around at 8 pm and we didn't have a single rider for the rest of the night.. on a midnight close. Tom, you're not working there this year are you?
August 26, 201213 yr Would both trains be capable of going any farther than they already do? By the train shed in the back and front, I know there's a grade that both trains struggle to get up.
August 26, 201213 yr Put some more theming around fort Kinzeil and add other little props thoughout. Civil war fight maybe by fort kinzeil?

Those locomotives are quite capable of going to Sandusky, provided there are tracks, fuel and water stations and maintenance providers between Losantiville and there. Or, heaven forfend, even if there aren't.
