May 14, 201214 yr Have eaten 2 pretzels and 1 panda dinner so far this season. And that is more than I have eaten in the past 4 years.
May 14, 201214 yr I finally got my Philly Cheese... here's what it looked like (and it was pretty tasty!) KI Central would not let me use this URL, but you should be able to click it. http://im1.shutterfl...3D550/ry%3D400/ That's the actual sandwich you were served? It really looks good. That is THE actual sandwich. It did not last long - must've been defective. I think it evaporated!

I'd have liked a bit more of the peppers and onions, but it really was tasty. He had trouble getting it all on the sandwich, it's all new. Didn't take too long once I got the order in.
September 19, 201213 yr Link from KI website twitted this: (http://twitter.com/kingsislandPR ) "A Cincinnat institution, Servatii Pastry and Deli Shop has been added on International Street. Be sure to try it this fall." Any Cincinnat(i) residents willing to... would you please give any input on this new shop for those that don't know what this is? (edit-this is a difficult question to phrase, so it might seem worded strange) Also, perhaps no more Cinnabon shop?
September 19, 201213 yr If KI is going to add a deli, I would love to see Izzy's open up a shop. They serve the best Ruben in town!
September 20, 201213 yr Can we please have Mrs. Knott's Chicken Dinner? I know a nice place it could go between International Street and Planet Snoopy.
September 21, 201213 yr Also, they serve really good homemade potato pancake with all their orders! Latkes? Like Wertheim's in Covington?
September 21, 201213 yr It wouldn't be very fresh if you brought it up here. Dollywood's food should really stay in Dollywood. I like seeing these new food options that are local eats, and just the higher quality that we have been starting to get.
September 21, 201213 yr The quality of food is just as much a product of the ingredients as it is the person preparing/cooking it. We have 8 McDonalds here and only 1 of them is worth going to.
September 23, 201213 yr Servatii's operates out of the same hole in the wall as the 'German' pretzel shop on International Street but we didn't see 'deli' items, only 'pastry' items. We didn't sample the wares last Friday, but have had several of the pretzels and they're a vast improvement over the old 'Super Pretzel'. September 23, 201213 yr Perhaps there are 'secret' menu items like Starbucks! That's a shame a deli and pastry shop is only offering pastries. Foghorn Leghorn, did the shop feel hastily tacked on to you?
September 23, 201213 yr There actually are secret menu items at Starbucks. My friend who works there said that the secret is that Barista's can make anything you want. Everything can be made with anything you like! THE POWER! THE POWER!!! However, here is a link that will give you the recipe you need to order and what you need to add. http://thefw.com/starbucks-secret-menu/
September 23, 201213 yr Carnegie Deli at Great Adventure has genuine deli sandwiches. And breathtaking prices! http://m.flickr.com/#/photos/buhny/4733136735/

However, here is a link that will give you the recipe you need to order and what you need to add. http://thefw.com/sta...ks-secret-menu/ Taco Bell is the same way. For a long time after it was "discontinued", I continued to order the Grande Soft Taco even though it was no longer on the menu. When my local restaurant remodeled, though, they got new registers which eliminated the button for it, meaning they could no longer give it to me. I now stick to the Chicken Cantina Burrito with no pico de gallo. Subway is the same way as well. Practically any sub that's been offered in the past as a limited-time promotional item can still be prepared as long as they have the ingredients for it. The Chicken Pizziola is one of my favorites.
September 26, 201213 yr ^ Having once worked at a Subway in recent years, I can tell you that it's because those "special" subs are still rung up as the equivalent regular sub in the register, at least at my old store. The Chicken Pizziola still went into the register as a Chicken Breast, and so on. Unfortunately, that meant that there was also no "Radioactive Goop" button for a toasted tuna sub. *shudder* I didn't see the new store when I went to the park on Friday, but I also didn't look for it much. If my plans to head there sometime this weekend pan out, I'll see what I can find.

Unfortunately, that meant that there was also no "Radioactive Goop" button for a toasted tuna sub. *shudder* Actually, at the store I frequent in Xenia, the "secret" subs show up on my receipt as the actual sub I ordered, and I've been told that they can make the sub as long as they still have the button for it, meaning that they have to be able to ring it up that way. And if you've worked at a Subway in recent years, you should know that the Chicken Pizziola uses the strips, not the breast patty. (There was briefly a $5 footlong that used the breast patty and marinara sauce without the pepperoni, but I don't recall what it's name was.) And toasted tuna is indeed gross. In fact, it's the only sub that I don't toast.
September 26, 201213 yr ^ Guess it wasn't a very good Subway, then, because it was all pretty much done the way I mentioned.
September 26, 201213 yr If the KI Subway got the Seafood Sensation sub, I would totally pay $6 for a 6-inch.
September 26, 201213 yr If the KI Subway got the Seafood Sensation sub, I would totally pay $6 for a 6-inch. Aaaaaaaaand we're back on topic!
September 26, 201213 yr So if Subway happens to have boloney, longhorn colby cheese, rye bread, and horseradish mustard, among all the rest of their lunch meats they can't make me a sandwich with those if it is not listed on the register?

September 26, 201213 yr At most, I'll get only the bread toasted. Who would toast a tuna or seafood sensation sub? Yuck.
September 26, 201213 yr ^ I don't toast the tuna and have never tried the Seafood Sensation. I toast everything else mainly because I prefer my sandwiches hot.
