Price drops? Yep, happening this weekend with water and pop prices around the park! Come out and enjoy the warm weather and have a drink.

With many of the food and drink places having monitors now instead of price boards, they can change the prices on items much easier.

But will the price of an ice-cold Coca-Cola look different on a packed Saturday with 90 degree heat waves and full humidity than it will on a cool, misty Tuesday in August? Changing the price at the drop of a hat is convenient, but for whom? Hopefully we can count on pricing integrity, but "test and adjust" isn't just a process in the attraction world!

Anyone have any information of the gold/platinum pass loyalty plan Greg mentioned a couple of months back? I have been looking for a list of incentives but cant find anything.

They haven't announced any more info on that yet. I'm sure we'll hear more in the coming weeks.

Sweet! I have no idea what direction they could go with this. But I'm excited to see what they will offer.

What do you all think they could/will offer with the loyalty plan?

I am also curious what a loyalty plan might end up being...and it's perks.

(It would be too much to hope for that one of the planned "perks" would be that management would stop mocking/ridiculing some of their most loyal customers.)

^From what I have been told, very well.

I have never felt mocked by KI and I am even a former associate at KI.

So what are these new lower drink prices? Anyone notice any significant drops?

I meant to check it out yesterday, but I didn't even think to look because I tend to completely ignore vending machines for fear of them reeling me (and my dollars) in...

The machines in the Diamondback queue were all $3.50. I believe that on Opening Day they were $4.

Oh lol I thought maybe they were going to try a new significantly lower pricing strategy for drinks....like $2.50 or something for a large fountain drink. Guess not.

I saw the sodas in the machines by Vortex were $3.50 as well. Not sure about at the food stands.

Food stands (or at least Street Funnel Cakes) seemed to have a deal with $5 for all-day refills for refillable cups. Anyone else see that, or is there small print I didn't see?

The smaller sized fountain drinks were about 50 cents cheaper.

I agree with the sentiment of why not both. A hybrid coaster would be a great addition to the park. Just don't convert any of the ones we already have.
