Men's Rest Rooms

Just spoke with a very nice manager this morning in Guest Relations, Matt, after my ert. ( wish I could remember his last name.) We had a very nice talk about the situation and without going into the details, was very pleased about how he addressed my concerns. Also, I have absolutely no issue with all the dedicated employees at KI who work in the trenches, including those who clean the rest rooms and the people in Guest Relations. Your hard work and friendliness in no small part has been making me a repeat customer of KI for so many years. Kudos to you, Matt, and all the other dedicated employees of KI>

Cleaning restrooms are so hard, especially at a big place like Kings Island. Once they're clean, they'll be gross again, from people that don't flush, *cough*miss the toilet*cough*, and all the gross bugs.

I enjoy the working restrooms at MK. It not as hard as you may think, I find it easier actually.

Couldn't agree more Colonel. I find cleaning the restrooms at KI not bad at all. I actually enjoy it more than roaming around the midways sweeping trash, believe it or not haha

On the serious side: What possible motivation does the park have to install & maintain a/c? Some people cannot clean up after themselves or respect the next person who has to use the restroom (and, no offense to women out there, the ladies restroom is consistantly much worse then the mens). I cannot see how adding a/c units will improve that.

Can the park do it? Sure they can. Should they? Absolutely not. It is a waste of money. The a/c will be working non-stop, and installing/ maintaning a/c units is very expensive. Also, was the building constructed with a/c in mind? Adding an element like a/c to an existing older building sounds easy on paper, but it is not even close to being thast easy. Space constraints, power constraints, proper air flow, insulation, environmentally friendly windows all have to be considered. The park needs to spend money in other areas to improve the guest experience, and so far CF has done that, but it is a slow process. How anyone expect everything to be solved at the snap of a finger? We all have to remember, the handful of bathrooms were not constructed under CF's leadership. I'll say it again: If the park acted on every guest complaint, there would be no direction.

Now if the park constructed new restrooms as part of a building for food or sales, it would be foolish not to have a/c.

Honestly, I have never even thought about a/c in all the restrooms.

Next thing you know, the fanboys are going to be whining about how DB's que needs to be enclosed and air conditioned!

Many of the queues at SFOG are air conditioned. What's your point?

Does SFOG have a DB?

^ Many things are different for the Southern states.

I'm not sure comparing the weather in GA and OH is exactly apples to apples.

Counting down the hours until KI & CP opened while wishing I was at SFOG enjoying their rides for the past few weekends. :)

I wonder if they've thought about exhaust fans? I remember an exhaust attic fan seem to keep my grandparents house fairly cool most of the summer.

Good idea!

The restrooms in Action Zone next to Stunt Crew Grill are both air-conditioned, and sparsely used. That helps.

Except for when people get off Congo Falls and feel the need to wring their clothes out in the middle of the restroom. Then one is obligated to carry a life raft just to get to the other side!

They must have worked at a fast food place!

CedarPointer, who has gotten some weird looks pouring water onto the floor of his stand... and who has forgotten he wasn't at work and poured water on the floor at home!
