Top 10

Is there any where, where I can find a list of Pki's top 10 rides? What is every ones Top 10 fav. rides? I have found 2000 Pki's Top 10 rides. Here is a list of the Top Ten most popular rides at PKI in 2000.

I had this list typed in a Word Document after i saw it either on a website, or in a newspaper article. Anyhow, heres the list from my word document.

• In 2000, the most popular ride was the (1) Racer with 2,081,115 riders. That was followed by (2) Adventure Express with 1,322,188 riders and the (3) Vortex with 1,288,492 riders. The next most popular ride was (4) The Beast with 1,143,739 riders, followed by (5) Top Gun with 1,049,989 riders. That was followed by (6) Phantom Theater with 914,269 riders, followed by (7) The Beastie with 862,860 riders. Next in line was (8) Flight of Fear with 847,300 riders. The last two top ten rides were (9) Congo Falls with 845,932 patrons and (10) Viking Fury with 840,667 riders.

My list is, 10. Scooby-Doo And The Haunted Castle

9. Wild Thornberry’s River Adventure

8. Viking Fury

7. Flying Eagles

6. White Water Canyon

5. Congo Falls

4. Shake, Rattle and Roll

3. Adventure Express

2. The Beast

1. The Racer

That quote however is misleading. The Racer is 2 coasters. So that actually means the most riden ride is the Adventure Express...right drew??

Steve

How is it one Ride when they race each other ...its called The Racer They race it should be 2 rides dont'cha think? huh.gif

The Racer is one Ride, and AE is still numb. 2. I did not make the first list, some guy said it was in a newspaper, or on the web. The 2nd list is what I think, should be the top ten.

Yes technically by the park standards it is "one" ride. But to anyone who has eyes you can see taht it is two totally separate coasters....

Steve

I understand that "The Racer" as a whole gets the most riders, but I think by most individual standards it would be looked at as 2 coasters.

True BUT i think SDATHC gets more People than the Wild Thornberries

I know, but that 2nd list is my fav. rides 1 to 10

The Racer is considered 2 rides becasue the trains face seprate directions. backwords/forwords. now if it was Forword/Forword then i think it could be consided one ride.

Jeff said that even if you split them apart. They would still be the 2nd (cant remember which) popular ride in the park.

Phantom Theater with 914,269 riders

If Phantom Theater had that many riders in 2000, and for the must part really wasn't that popular, then SDatHC should be number 1 this year. Everytime I went to the park, the line was always full.

I would have to agree w/ most of you guys dat da Beast is da BEST!! Son of Beast is also awesome. I also like The Racers but my friend doesn't cause he thinks they're too shaky.

The Racer too shaky? Well, compared to The Beast, it's a smooth ride. The Beast jars you half to death, but it's still the greatest. I don't think there's any comparison. I heard good things about SDATHC, but I never rode it. My whole family rode it except me because I'm kind of claustrophobic in Haunted House like settings.

I've only been to one other Paramount park, and it really stunk. It wasn't near as great as PKI. Then again, what could be as great as PKI?

Scooby Doo and the Haunted Castle is by no means claustrophobic. I would be more claustrophobic in the elevator on the Eiffel Tower than in Scooby. I`ve been to Kings Dominion and Carowinds. Both are excellent parks with excellent rides. The only gripe I have about Carowinds are its hours and operating procedures during inclement weather. In the middle of the summer, the park closes at 9 everyday of the week! Additionally, they closed the park down one day I visited at 6pm, because they were anticipating rain in the evening, which showed up around 7. Additionally, when I first visited and a thunderstorm blew through, they waited nearly 45 minutes to an hour after the storm was gone to reopen all the rides. They shut down all the rides for that time, even their Scooby ride. Whereas at PKI, they only shut down rides if lightning is within a 20 mile radius of the park (or was it 10?). I however was once stuck on the train at Kings Island in a severe thunderstorm. I`ll never forget that ride, being blinded by the horizontal rain, and hearing loud claps of thunder what seemed like a couple feet away. When we got off in Rivertown, it was raining so har you couldn`t see the Eiffel Tower!

It never fails.. everytime I go to Carowinds it rains & they close the entire park for the day & hand out either free tickets or free drinks.

& their hours are to short. I've never rode a ride at night there & I've always wanted to. PKI is #1 in my book!!! Can't beat a night ride on The Beast during the fireworks!
