Hey, I don't think I've ever been to KI on opening day before. I was just wondering if it is usually crowded or not. I bought a season pass for this year and I'm planning to use it as much as possible. Alright, thanks in advance!

I have yet to go on opening day but i would imagine it to get pretty crowded but im not sure. However i have found the best days to go are like Mondays or Tuesdays its usually never that crowded on those days.

Probably pretty busy. A little busier than the average pre-season saturday. I am saying this from a visitors stand point.

Any employees care to give their opinion?

How about the weekend following opening day (opening weekend) is that crowded too?

I usually have no other option than to go on a weekend so I'm just asking.

The crowds on opening day depend entirely on the weather. 2 years ago, it was snowing on opening day. Last year, it was sunny and 70. 2 years ago, there were more employees in the park than guests on opening day. Last year, it was obviously very crowded.

Well I would think that since it will probably be kinda chilly outside and most people aren't really concerned with Kings Island in early April cause they've got school and stuff to worry about, that PKI probably won't be very crowded.

Thats the only date I went last year.....and if you only go one time you just might remember the day you went.

Pass preview night usually isn't crowded. As for opening days some are and some aren't. It really depends on the weather and if people want to go or not.

I believe that was the same night that the tornado hit Blue Ash. Maybe thats why.

When I went two years ago, when Tomb Raider opened, the park was pretty crowdwed, but it doesn't stack up to those BAFFD's.

I was there opening day of Tomb Raider. I do believe it closed down so many darn times that I said "Screw It" and just left. Never got back in that line to ride until the end of July.

I still haven't ridden it. I went last year opening day and it was closed.

DUDE! I was right there with you! Waited for a long time just to see the pre-show! And then the Pre-show BROKE in the middle of viewing it and everyone started laughing! Outside in the line, they were selling Hot Choc like crazy! There was a Ride Supervisor (I think) who tried to get the line to do the wave but nobody would play along. She was pretty funny the whole time trying to lighten the mood. Anyone know who I am talking about? She always seems to hang around the newer rides at the beginning of the season.....anyone?
