I was getting them earlier in the afternoon. Haven't gotten any in the 10 minutes or so I've been on just now, though.

Hmmm, thought it was just me-my compy hiccups a lot-this fiber optic internet is not as great as it appears. Things are ok now.

Hmmm. I haven`t been on KIC much today, busy doing house related stuff and watching the Reds loose. I`ll keep an eye out and see if anything else develops and/or I run across anything tonight. I`ll keep everyone updated.

What type of errors are people getting? It often helps to diagnose the problem by the using the error that is reported.

The errors that I was getting were the 500 internal server errors, which happened randomly when I clicked to link to a new webpage.

So were you on the forums when you were getting this error, or another page in the site? I still have yet to see any errors this evening.

Yup, I guess that I forgot to mention that rather important detail. It was occuring on the forums, but now all seems well. Maybe there was a lot of web traffic to the web server this afternoon?

That could be. Or they could have been suffering some technical issues which have since resolved themselves. If the issue crops back up, by all means, let us know so that we can remedy the situation as quickly as possible.

Heavy server volumes in the middle of the night? Absent something very bad (like DOS attacks), I don't buy that either...

I didn't have any issues.

I still have yet to encounter any issues so far when I have been cruising KIC. And I have been using both my laptop, as well as the computer here at work while at lunch. No issues.

I agree though, it does seem somewhat suspect given the lower than usual post volume right now.

This problem has never happened for me.

I believe the server error has to do with a new page KIC is coming out with announcing the 2011 opening of SoB.

I just noticed that also. It's ironic that when I clicked on this thread, the error occurred!

I'm getting them again very frequently also. Exact same error message that Hendrick posted, right down to the code on the last line.

EDIT: They seem to have stopped. For now, at least...

Yeah, I seem to be still getting them logged on or off as a guest.

And now, a few hours ago, it happened to me, but now the site works fine, hmmm?

Chrome has just changed the title of my Most Visited link for KIC to "500 Internal Server Error".

Win.

I just got it on my phone, 500 was the error number when hitting new updates. Was distracted and did not pay close attention, but could get to the stats updates page with no issues. Seems to only effect the forums.

I'm getting the error now too.
