The only thing I can think of, is they use it over the winter to move the trains for rehab.

    If you go to CP and look at Iron Wolf, they have the same thing going on, except that spare piece of track is enclosed in a building.

    I have seen a spare section of track with roof on it, by The Beast, Beastie, Racer. Rugrats Runaway Reptar, and Scooby's Ghoster Coaster have it, but with out a roof.
