What about Drachen Fire? Sure, it's defunct, but technically Storm Chaser is just the only coaster with a barrel roll drop in the U.S., not the first ever.

Personally, I'd consider that more of a corkscrew drop.

As long as the general public doesn't remember a long past Arrow Mega-Coaster, who cares, right? 

Good ole Drachen Fire, a rather well paced Arrow Multi Looper that was rough as all get out.  The corkscrew first drop was a bit odd

Mayhaps B&M thought it was a good idea.

Shout out to the kid on Instagram who says Kentucky Kingdom has a "large" budget for coasters and attractions, I wonder if he works for Mr. Heart, I had to correct him on Kentucky Kingdom facts many times

Saw a similar picture on Screamscape and I can't believe that much trackwork is already done! 

 

EDIT: Maybe there's a reason... or not...

That track looks VERY sharp, but I think it should have had green or blue track.

But then it wouldn't match the other bright red thing or the Kinzel Koasters.

The push for red paint might get pressure from the manufacturer, seeing as they seem privy to the color aswell. Luckily, some Six Flags parks are now opting for colors other than red or orange.

I once read that the reason the "little old red school house" and "old red barn" were always painted red was because Red colored paint was the cheapest available at the time. 

If past is prologue, the red will be pink in a few short months.

Maybe they are using a different paint?  Maybe not?  T3 has been red for over a year now and still looks nice, as of my last visit during the state fair.  Although, I would have liked to see a contrasting color...

Yeah Matt Bevin knows the writing is on the wall.  He's been particularly nasty this week. 

It's been a pretty nasty election cycle. I honestly can't see myself voting for either of the major candidates. 

Yes, the campaign has been rough. I would never give up my obligation/right to vote however. 

 

I will be glad when the Kentucky negative campaign is over, but then the national campaign moves to the Centre.  Oh well...

Oh I did not say I wasn't voting, just probably going to "waste" it on the other guy with no hope of getting elected. The D and the R are both a** hats. 

With this news, I will stand and say I am happy for all of those who have wanted to see the park succeed.  This is one hurdle cleared, and I wish a long future for your park.
