January 28, 200422 yr Of course we knew they had assembled and tested it in germany before it was brought over because of the onride video.
January 28, 200422 yr O.O rar! Oh well, I didn't get to ride it until some time after the season started anyway. EDIT: That guy seems to be standing very close to the ride while in motion, lol. Edited January 1, 197056 yr by StXBomber
January 28, 200422 yr Yeah, I remember riding it on training day last year and having it break with us on it.
January 28, 200422 yr Wow, I had seen pictures of it set up and running at the plant but I hadn't seen pictures with people on it there. Guess they had to make sure it really worked with people on it.
January 28, 200422 yr Nice photo! Delirium really did surpass my expectations... I love that thing. Did I mention I love that thing?
January 28, 200422 yr Yes, Aaron. You'd have to be insane to not like Deli. I mean really. *saves that photo on his PC* ~S~
January 28, 200422 yr Just to point a couple of things out: 1) no floor. That means that the ride is still a ways off the ground anyway. 2) Hes outside the legs, I would estimate a little forward of where the walkway is now. So if it can clear the walkway, then he is fine. Plus hes a trained pro. Nothing to worry about. Tom, who now has a new wallpaper. Thanks!
January 28, 200422 yr Where is that one located? It's obvious it's not the one at PKI - I can tell by using deductive reasoning. But it doesn't look like a permanate fixture because of the dirt "floor" and crude construction set-up. Is that the one that is at PKI today?
January 28, 200422 yr Author It is PKI's model! It was assembled and tested before it was shipped over here. If PKI has the onride video of it still up it looks NOTHING like PKI and alot like the factory. There are footers for it to sit on. Just not a perm PLC room and control booth. Intresting factoid. King Cobra was assembled in Japan at the Togo factory while KECO(owners at that time)exeutives came over and road it. It did not have footers. It could be considered the only portable standup rollercoaster ever.
January 28, 200422 yr Like Pat said, this is our actual ride, while it was built in Germany at the plant before making the journey to America.
January 28, 200422 yr Interesting thing I couldnt see on my home comp but saw at a school comp: Anyone notice on the back right support are what look like strings. Anyone know what they are? My guess is an early design of water jets. You know how Huss loves water (but according to my sup, "THE GONDOLA DOESNT LIKE WATER!!!!"
January 28, 200422 yr It looks to me like those "strings" go clear up to the top of the ride's structure. I doubt they would be used for some kind of water system. But my quess is a good as yours. Anyone know why there aren't any lights on the bottom of Delerium's gondola? ( Not that there are now, I thought there were supposed to be lgihts ) Edited January 1, 197056 yr by CoasterKrazy
