I had to go to the verizon store today and just happened to have my camera, so I took this for all my KICers.

Sigh...There's something oddly depressing about that. I think it's the gray skies and dead trees. Soon though...

Oh wow.. I miss seeing that so much. It is always nice to have my worries evaporating as I realize I'm at my beloved home park. I can almost hear Invertigo now (the loud hum with the the KA-KRAK with screaming shortly following it) as I walk toward the entrance. I miss KI so much and everyone I've met there.

You deserve a gold star for that!

No. I do not like the chili parlor that uses a gold star for its logo. As a side note, that chili parlor`s first location was located in Mt. Washington, in what used to be a hamburger restaurant. The main commissary for that chain is located near Lunken Airport today.

There is another webcam situated between The Racers that a local news station supports (I'm guessing it's thiers) for weather updates at Kings Island. I'd grab the addy for you right now but I'm on my phone. If you google 'Kings Island webcam', I bet it would come up. Not the most interesting of cams at this time of year...

While I had a 4-way from Skyline just last night, I'd also recommend Blue Ash Chili (just around the corner from KI in Mason) if you want some good chili but have others in your group that are not fans of "Cincinnati Style"

Does anyone know if they are going to change the parking lot signs to names of Snoopy characters. Like for example they have row Invertigo 5 or something like that. Anyone think they will change them to the name of the Peanut Gang?

Doubtful, it was rumored that they recently changed the SoB signs to Diamondback for 2010.

Actually, pictures thereof were posted for a while...it is more than rumor.

DropZone99, this is now my absolute favorite KI off-season picture of all time!!! It says it all. If ever there was a photo that describes the anticipation of the end of the off-season, it's this one! (I go out of my way and take Western Row sometimes instead of Socialville-Foster, just to see this very view.) Fantastic!!!

I can remember walking up to the front gate, hearing the hum of Invertigo's lift, Drop Tower releasing the ring, seeing Diamondback's train go up the lift and elevators rise up and down the tower...wow, the memories you've spurred with that picture! 31 days!

As for the above pic Drop Zone posted, I take I-71 from where I am to get there, so I never get to see that. That's really cool!

Try 120 miles for me Angie! Either way, it is not feasible for either of us as much as I would love to have that option.

I love how it looks like the whole skyline is all jumbled up in a mess! Diamondback looks really cool at this angle too!
