February 25, 201016 yr Carowinds appears to be booting up a sort of Paramount-ish takeoff on the Cedar Point style web-layout... Though it's just now starting up (currently it redirects to the shopping page), http://www.carowinds.com is getting the much-desired makeover. Let's pray that it's in Kings Island's future, too, but since we just recently got an online shop that mirrors our current website style... :\ http://www.carowinds.com And so, the unification of the Paramount Parks begins! (a mere four years post-purchase and just when they might all be sold in the coming months... What good timing!)
February 25, 201016 yr heh, but then we wont have those nice url switcheroos anymore... seriously, though it is a good thing they are finally getting around to it. although, i must say it would probably be best to get on that, as around park opening is when most people visit the website to buy passes and tickets, and doing a site switchover with possible hickups could be a potential disaster....
February 25, 201016 yr i'm glad that "thrill rides" and "roller coasters" are now in distinctive categories, i never liked how paramount placed them both together.
February 25, 201016 yr The site doesn't work on any web browser for me- Chrome, Firefox, or IE. Up until about 10 minutes ago, it would redirect me to the shopping page for Firefox and IE. EDIT: Site now works in Firefox just fine. Chrome still has nothing. I don't care what IE gives me. Haha. EDIT again: Site now works everywhere. I like it! It's MUCH better than the old yellow site.
February 25, 201016 yr It looks nice, I hope KI will upgrade soon, it would be nice to get videos, pictures and dare I say correct information on the site! Although they most likely will keep most of the content the same, and just redo the design.
February 25, 201016 yr If you download the PDf file of the 2010 Carowinds park map you can see. Their Carolina Cyclone got painted... On the map.
February 25, 201016 yr I think Cedar Fair really likes Carowinds... I think CF really likes parks that are getting new coasters... I bet KD is next. I'd comment on the state of our site, but I'm trying to be nice...
February 25, 201016 yr Did anyone notice that the Intimidator plaza is literally half-in Planet Snoopy, and half-in Carowinds Plaza?
February 25, 201016 yr I think Cedar Fair really likes Carowinds... I think one of the executives at CF has a relation to someone at Carowinds.
February 25, 201016 yr Author You might say Carowinds is the prodigal son of the Cedar Fair family... In more ways than one.
February 25, 201016 yr Author If you download the PDf file of the 2010 Carowinds park map you can see. Their Carolina Cyclone got painted... On the map. See the very bottom of this page: Carolina Cyclone really was re-painted three colors, in honor of its 30th anniversary. A few things: This is what our Runaway Reptar looks like, too, right? Very nice! Drop Tower's photo gallery is called "Drop Zone." Well, perhaps it was SpellCheck. :] *Insert Scooby Doo going "Huh?!" Slight "lol" at the semi-visible green phantom here, hiding behind a curtain!
February 25, 201016 yr ^not to mention the box of scooby snacks setting by the mantle. i guess you have to give them some credit though, the ride hasn't ran with the public as riders since the re-theme.
February 25, 201016 yr Very nice! Looks much better than the old site did. Hope KI gets the same treatment. I especially like the new way the park map is displayed online, as you can zoom in and stuff to get closer looks at the ride drawings, etc. The map itself even looks pretty good, much better than Cedar Point's crazy cartoony map.

February 26, 201016 yr I have a feeling the site designs will go like this..... Carowinds, California's Great America, King's Dominion, King's Island, then Canada's Wonderland. My reasoning is that this is the order that the parks open. Just a guess!
February 26, 201016 yr http://www.carowinds...ay_go_karts.cfm Wow, those are some really old gokarts, they predate Carowinds. Wonder where they hide them until 2006. Same goes for Balloon Race. Awesome Aussie Twister opened in 89 not 97. Don't get me started on the coasters page.
February 27, 201016 yr "1900" is probably the placeholder year. They probably just forgot to replace it.
February 27, 201016 yr I like how the parkmap is like a google map where you can zoom in and see the different attractions and move your self around the map as if it is a real map.
February 27, 201016 yr When I click on the Store link, it takes you to a site to purchase tickets. I don't think Carowinds has a site like our Marketplace.
