I didnt even know that was the original flying eagles at Carowinds. Now I want to go to carowinds for intimidator and that.

Maybe SOB didn't turn out weel because the spirit of The Beast didn't want another coaster in the series. Maybe they should just rename SOB and that will fix its problems?

Well said Scooby, The Beast at night takes on a new leash. The Beast at night becomes untamed, out of control, and one of the best night rides on earth. Oh wait, it does that anyway.

Unless it is only 40* out, and then it isn't as exciting, although the cold makes up for that.

That is a pretty cool write up about The Beast on a new roller coaster fansite. I read part of it, but it is too long for me to read the entire thing.

The site isn't new. It's been around for some time now. I think it started in May of this year, and has reviews from last year, even!

You are correct; it was started in May of this year. But, the author wrote it dodn't competely come together until later in the summer. I would still call that a newer site. Also, on the front page, the oldest thing added I saw was from 10/3. I think it is pretty cool with some good information.

I read some other reviews from that site, and I must say, that man is picky! He did not have nice things to say about Diamondback, including a 5 paragraph rant on it's lack of intensity. Well duh, it's a B&M!

But bring up some good points about The Beast. I will always love and cherish The Beast and his description was very well done, especially the awful things done to it in recent years.

well new is only an arbitrary word for the use of time. a 1965 ford mustang could be a new car to you...... remember the old NBC slogan, "if you havnt seen it yet, its new to you" or something like that...... but yes a good website but hey everyone can be picky
