Summer time Half day visit possible?

Featured Replies

hi Guys. I'm from Jersey. I'm goin back to Ohio next week: July 27- Aug 2nd. On Monday, the Phils will play a makeup game 12:35 in Cinci @ Great American Ballpark. If I go to the game would there still be time in the late afternoon-evening for a first time visit to PKI??????? the advice would be appreciated. Thanks

You'll have time but not much. How long is the game?

If it were me, I'd devote a whole day to a first time at PKI. But since you're going on a Monday, I'd say you have some time, but not a lot

I'd be worth it if you went after the ticket price was reduced, which is 5:00, I think. Correct me if I'm wrong.

How long is the game?

That is one of the single dumbest questions I've ever heard in my life. Of course he doesn't know how long the game is going to take. It's Baseball. It could take 3 hours, or it could take 6, it just depends.

Monday shouldn't be bad so I say go for it. If the weather is great on that day then expect longer lines. Also I would recommend at least one night ride on The Beast.

Most-do rides:

Beast

Delirium

Son of Beast

Flight of Fear

Tomb Raider: The Ride

With a 12:30 game he should be getting to PKI fairly close to 5:00pm. Most are over three but less than four, but yeah, no one knows. Accounting for drive-time and such he should be close enough to wait for the price break.

I love the people who try to get in at 4:45 for the after 5:00 price. Yeah, I'm well aware that it's close, but no, I'm sorry, not today.

lol

Wow... That's all I could say about my first time experience to PKI. That Monday 7/28, I was contesting about going to the park for an all day affair because there was really heavy dark lingering clouds above Louisville where I was staying and they appearred to be over Cincinnati as well. I thought if there was going to be rain I'd might as well see the Phils - Reds game I wanted to see, which the Phils lost. the sun and sky opened up and it was mild outside. A surprise change in weather. I took my chances and went to PKI after the game. I thought bout the possibilities of buying a next day ticket for a low fee. Indeed there was: $10 after 5 or so. I got into PKI for the half day and had a ticket for the complete next day. The threat of heavy rain really kept the park empty. I had a walk on on all coasters except Flight of Fear. The cleanliness and landscaping of the park really got my attention and was much sharper than Six Flags Great Adventure. It hit home that PKI was much better than SFGADV when I saw all the detail put into the Kid's territory with the cars that rode above on the track and the little rides like the hand powered skate cars. The night rides on The Beast was the best advice ever!!!! The Beast was my 100th rollercoaster and being in the dark took my breath away. I never screamed so loud and with such feeling on a coaster. I'm glad I had the next day ticket cause I needed that time to get all the dark rides in. They are exceptional as well as the Spongebob 3d. PKI is proof that a park can really kick ass and not have any B&M's. Quite an impressive feat. Thanks guys......

Hey, I'm glad you had a good time!

The Beast at night is an awsome experience. I mean, most of us have ridden The Beast countless times, and we can tell you that there's a specific thrill to it at night. Not only do you have the regular thrill of the ride, but you also have this feeling of being lost in the woods.

I screamed my head off in the tunnels during the night ride of Beast. I usually never scream on a coaster. My voice was hoarse the next day
