Never stated I was a moderator Terpy Also it does not need a new topic when there's a topic already open and more people view it. Now only reason SOB would need its new "opening" topic is because its been down since June, Firehawk was less then 24 hours.

Ummm, that is titled "Man dies after riding Firehawk." People would see that and think, "Oh, I want to find out more." People will see this and be like "Yea. I can go to KI and ride FH". Two totally different topics of conversation. Therefore, two totally different threads.

I think this subject matter is worthy of its own topic.

Let's stick to the subject, though.

Yes - once again, the immature and thoughtless actions of a few ruined it for the many. The topic itself disappeared because it lost relevance when they reopened the ride. Feel free to continue the discussion in this thread.

you forgot hip hip hurrah..... but why does it fail it allows people an opportunity to discuss the options of having a ride open.....

I was at the park and rode it today. No problems.

I still feel sorry for the guy but on the bright side I'm glad that Firehawk has reopened. I hope that SOB reopens next. I think it's quite pointless not opening since they inspected the ride and found nothing wrong with it.

As for Firehawk, I'm not surprised to see it back open so soon. Based on the stories I've heard through the press, the ride was not at fault at all, so there's really no reason to keep it closed. Of course don't let me come off as the unsympathetic jerk.. I wish the family the best and am very sorry for the loss.

I would have a serious problem if people put "the" in front of my name as I'm sure you would as well. It shows a lack of comprehension of the English language and also demonstrates poor research skills. Just as one would notice a mispronunciation on the news, many notice and are annoyed by this.

Thank you. Ever since (I think it was Kat's post?) everyone has been going crazy over this. It's not a big deal. They can call it what ever they want. People get mad when they call Vortex, The Vortex, and yet they go call SoB The Back Breaker?

a. Everyone is not going crazy about it. I, for instance, have not gone crazy about it.

b. Leaving the the out is also not a huge deal. As an example, virtually no one calls me The Terpy here....and very seldom does anyone spell out the whole deal--"The Interpreter." As my beloved father used to say, "As long as they call me in time for supper..."
