On FoF, I noticed the part you are all talking about. What I did not notice is the complete stopping. It slows down to about 5, but I think it's for special effects.

Did FOF always have the part midway where it brakes to an almost stop? I thought it felt different than before?

Started last year (completely stopping), I have no Idea why . Probably Cedar Fair and their love for trims. If you listen while your in the drum you can hear the fof music playing, without the trim stopping the music ends perfectly when you get to the station. Now the music repeats because of the extra time stuck in the trims.

It didn't start for the first time last year. From time to time in the previous years of operation, it also stopped nearly completely at the midcourse. And Kings Dominion's did too.

-Inside Saucer music

-Station music

-Station woman voice over

-Station alien audio

-Ride music

-Ride lights

-Unloading alien audio

Overall, I was VERY impressed with it. Especially coming back from Fiesta Texas and riding the outside, brakeless version - Poltergeist. And I have to say....Flight of Fear kicks its butt. Ride wise and theming wise. I love FoF. It's right behind Diamondback. I LOVEE the theming.
