PKI & Delirium in USA Today!

Featured Replies

Friends, Romans, and Countrymen (and Countrywomen), lend me your ears – or eyes rather. Our beloved Paramount’s Kings Island was recently in USA Today, a NATIONAL publication, for Delirium. How good is Delirium? It’s one of only 5 new rides to get highlighted this year by USA Today. Additionally, on my MOJO Radio interview (for those of you who don’t know, I am author of The Unofficial Guidebook to Paramount’s Kings Island), I praised Delirium as an awesome ride that GREATLY surpassed my expectations. As a PKI enthusiast and Greater Cincinnati resident, I was very proud to see our local park and its latest thrill ride to be highlighted in a NATIONAL newspaper. Thumbs up PKI! You management folks rock and roll.

Have a great day,

Cool, Thanks for the link! That is awsome that we were recognized in the top five!

that new Disney one looks cool. They've been building it for about 4 years now! (it was being constructed when i went there 2-3 years ago!)

Um i dont care much for Delirium any thing on the haunted castle? Disney one what are you talking bout? disney has great rides...but i kinda like ioa and the hulk coaster know what i mean!?

Sweeet! It's nice to see some credit for our efforts. tongue.gif Delerium sure does deliver, I'll tell you that.

I'm not liking CP's cockiness about the Dragster... dry.gif Not at all...

Yeah, Top Thill Dragqueen doesn't deserve all the hype it's been getting. I mean, it's only like what, 20 seconds long? And no creativity went into designing it!

Yeah, but I bet you that is one of the best 20 seconds of your life. And I think it has creativity behind i. I mean who would of thought to make that kind of ride themed to a drag strip. Not me... and then there is Delirium. Has a tornado as its logo (Pardon Our Dust... I'm still laughing about that one... because I am still right!) and a tornado has nothing to do with it.

dry.gif I feel like I am contradictoring(sp?) myself here. Becuase if you are a Coasterbuzz member you would/should know about the whole "Pardon Our Dust" post? Well, I think I was the only one who believed and fought over and over that the message did have something to do with the new ride (Now Delirium) and everyone fought that it didn't. And one of the suggestions that I made was, was that it could be themed to a tornado. They all thought I was nuts and told me I should leave the board and blah blah blah.... but... it wound up being (A victory for me) what I said it would be, something to do with a tornado (Logo). But, other than spinning it has nothing to do with a tornado. They should get a new logo because it is misleading.

P.S. If it sounds like I have a "big head" over the whole situation it is because I.... Do!

I think you all are bitter against CP.. why cant we just be friends?

They have EVERY reason to be cocky... they have a coaster that broke the 400 foot mark! We should be jumping for joy, not complaining about it...

They also have the fastest coaster in the world. Just be happy we live in Ohio, and 2 of the best parks in the country, even the world for that matter. I mean, CP is the best park in the country (debatable) and all a lot of you do is get mad... they have every reason in the world to be cocky and brag.

just my 2 cents.
