November 28, 200223 yr Well the 2002 season is over. Im so bored of the park being closed, i wish WinterFest was back. If they can operate the park in the spring, summer and fall why cant they operate it in the winter?
November 28, 200223 yr they could keep the park open, but that would be stupid, as most of the rides can't run in winter. They all have a range of operating temperatures, and that is why the park can run in spring, summer, and fall.
November 30, 200223 yr Author Well they usually let the water freeze to it`s coldest temp and u can ice skate on international fountain (this happend in 1972-1994) also to include the oktoberfest lake. You eat can pizza and have coffee or hot cocoa but this ran through December And January.
November 30, 200223 yr what you a referring to is WinterFest. This hasn't happened in years, and was only open around the end of November and some of December. I think it pretty much ran from around thanksgiving to new years. The only things I ever remember open, were The Beastie and the Train. You could always skate on the fountain, but I never remember them freezing the Oktoberfest lake. I doub't they would try, because they coudln't control how much of it was frozen, while they could control the freezing and thawing of International Street Fountain. You could do all the food they had, and shop around the stores on Int'l Street for holiday stuff. The thing that used to be packed every night of WinterFest, was the candy store, while they had fresh treats, and all teh candy any kid would want.
November 30, 200223 yr Yep, it would be nice to have it open, but Vortex, Top Gun, Face/Off, Drop Zone, and Reptar couldn't run because steel only run about 54 at PKI.
