October 18, 200817 yr I swear. I'm going to be first on Diamondback. I want it so badly. Lol. I would like camp out if you were allowed to get on it first. Anyways, I heard a rumor that Diamondback was going to lose the water dip. Is that true?
October 18, 200817 yr No, it's not going to lose it's splashdown, because they've already laid track down. Why would you think something like that?
October 18, 200817 yr Diamondback will also be losing its lift hill, because it will save Cedar Fair some nickels.
October 18, 200817 yr Don't forget about the supports! But on a serious note, where did you hear such a thing?
October 18, 200817 yr I heard on Screamscape that they're also going to sell the track on the black market, then use the rest of the money to buy a whole bunch of fudge, put it in a swimming pool, then add it as a ride called "Chocolate Filled Pool!"
October 19, 200817 yr Maybe Snoopy and Kinzel's Chocolate Pool Adventure! (I can't be the only one who noticed Fort Kinzel at FoF)
October 19, 200817 yr i just think it is absolutely hilarious how everyone says that they are goin to be the first to ride when each train on hold 32 people and considering the first rides (by the public) are probably going to be auctioned off for charity like they did for maverick.
October 19, 200817 yr Maybe Snoopy and Kinzel's Chocolate Pool Adventure! (I can't be the only one who noticed Fort Kinzel at FoF) Not only are you not the first or only to notice it, a poster here may in part be responsible for its name...having pointed out many times that its predecessor name honored a former CEO of Paramount Parks, who is now a honcho at Herschend Entertainment. . .

Oh, so it's not self-centeredness rearing its ugly head. (Besides, it must have cost some elusive nickels to repaint it)
October 19, 200817 yr Yes, it is in some ways a story about Dick and Jane...a Puff piece, if you will, and many guests never Spot it. Having fun with Dick and Jane yet? Poor Al...he never got a Fort named for HIM!

October 19, 200817 yr I wondering if they are going to have an auction thing where you donate money to a good cuase but get to ride Diamondback first like they did for Maverick and various other Cedar Fair coasters. I'll be there opening day hopefully getting two spins on this monster. I am off heading to the park.
October 19, 200817 yr Bidding started at $75 for a Maverick seat... you'll have to have a shiny nickel to be a first rider on Diamondback
October 19, 200817 yr Bidding started at $75 for a Maverick seat... you'll have to have a shiny nickel to be a first rider on Diamondback However you can take that off of your taxes!
October 19, 200817 yr Bidding started at $75 for a Maverick seat... you'll have to have a shiny nickel to be a first rider on Diamondback However you can take that off of your taxes! I am advised that is true only to the extent it exceeds the market value of such a ride, and being first at that...When a donor receives something of value for their contribution, the value of the thing received must be deducted from the contribution...and the contribution must in fact be made to an eligible 501 ( c ) 3 organization, and, in some cases, the donor must have a receipt. Even then, some taxpayers will find they cannot deduct 100 percent of their contribution, or cannot deduct it all. There is a reason most organizations say: "Your donation may be tax deductible. Consult your tax adviser." or, even more obliquely: "Your contribution is deductible to the full extent allowed by law." Well, duh! Terpy, who does not recommend that those not in the field give tax advice
October 19, 200817 yr I never even looked up at that! and you call yourself a fofreak You've got a very good point.
October 19, 200817 yr I was so transfixed on beauty of my favorite beast! FOFreak, who may have noticed the sign once in his years, but sadly was erased from his mind while throwimg himself in an adrinaline frenzy on Flight of Fear for the umptenth time...
October 19, 200817 yr "We Promised you a break from the everday worklife, and what break is more final, then Oblivion?"
January 17, 200917 yr Is there an auction? What charity does it go to? How can I bid? This is a good question... but I'm confused about what's going on with that aspect. Depending on the charity I might be up for it.
January 17, 200917 yr Yes, charity rides will be auctioned off. No, details are not yet public: http://www.wlwt.com/entertainment/18345701/detail.html
