September 3, 200817 yr Me, my cousin, and my dad already reserved a room at great wolf lodge and just found out there is private event going on the day we are going and the park is closed to the public. Is there any way we could get into the park while the private event is going on since we already reserved a room? please help.

Your best bet would be to get ahold of GWL and see if you can change your reservation date.
September 3, 200817 yr I don't think so. Just because you reserved a room doesn't mean that you get to go to the park.
September 3, 200817 yr I emailed Don, and he said... "Nick, We cannot let anyone in the park this weekend or during any other private event or park sellout unless they have a ticket that was obtained through the company or organization that has rented the park out for the day. Sincerely, Don Helbig"
September 3, 200817 yr I was right...get a job with the company that rented it...I feel smart...I should be the PR director...
September 3, 200817 yr Author Never mind we changed our reservations to the great wolf lodge in Sandusky. We are just going to go to CP on sunday.
September 4, 200817 yr Never mind we changed our reservations to the great wolf lodge in Sandusky. We are just going to go to CP on sunday. Make sure CP doesn't have a private event that day too
September 4, 200817 yr all parks have a rule that if any person travels more than so many miles or hours from home to get to a park the park will let you in regardless if there is a private event.

September 4, 200817 yr This is why you check KIs webpage for operation hours. It takes about three minutes depending on your speed.
September 4, 200817 yr i am sure all parks have this rule Why are you so sure? Please explain So what you're saying is that I can go to KI on P&G day in the next few weeks and say I traveled from Seattle Washington and they have to let me in?
September 4, 200817 yr In the past it had been unwritten KI policy that if you travelled over so many miles, they would let you in on park sellout days. You needed proof that you live over so many miles away, such as your driver's license showing your residency, and proof of a hotel/campsite stay such as your room key. The official KI stance was that they did not let anyone in, but case by case exceptions were made. I cannot say whether or not KI still makes these exceptions under the CF ownership.
