New Forums Look

Featured Replies

Since its a new season and some extensive maintenance on the forums software, it was time for a new skin. Please share your opinion in the poll above.

Also, due to popular request, I have upped the avatar limits to 160x160. Previously I kept them small before due to some users still on dial up, but today less than 3% of our users are on dial up.

Also for members, if you look up at your "View New Posts" in your member bar, you will notice it will display how may threads with new posts there are since your last visit.

Please let me know if their is anything else or have any ideas to improve the KICentral forums experience.

Dane – I’m so happy to see a new skin for the forum and even better you did a great job with it. I noticed on the header on the second line it say’s “The Guide to Kings Island” I know on a lot of Disney forums they haft to list themselves as “the unofficial guide to ****”. Maybe it is no big deal but thought I would at least mention that before you get to far along. Excellent work, you all work great as a team.

I love this new forum look along with The Avatar sizes. This just goes to show how far this site has come along. This is my favorite web site on the internet. Go KICentral!!

I like it all but the title thingy. I liked the font and style of it before. Seemed less plain. BUT this works too.

Every other post has a dotted line around both the post box and user info box.

You will also notice that every other post has a slightly different color background, to help visually separate posts.

hey....i got a question....u know how the forums are divided into like trip reports, coming attraction, general discussion...dont u think there should be like a construction one...i know it kinda goes along with coming attractions but yet its still different.

Not really, construction is either Rumors or Coming Attractions.

Haha I didn't notice that until you said it. It looks awesome; keep up the good work.

I like the new avatar sizes. Just means all of you can see my pretty face even bigger, y'all are so lucky...lol

PS. Also like the new logo in the headers, sure beats the invision branding.

Everything looks great! I really like the reply and topic buttons. The larger avatars are cool too. It looks like I need to remake my small one.

Donnie, has anyone told you that you look like Bruce Willis with hair.

he does a little bit..lol...

ok now, same here just realized the color lol. love the avatar sizes...its comming along very well i think..KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!

The new look is an improvement...I think the color scheme could be a hair darker, but other than that I like it. As for the avatars being bigger...obviously I like that idea! I think people can be more creative. (Not that I have so far.)

By the way, nice avatar Avatar...it's nice to put a face with a name.

Also WooferBearATL if you really need help just PM and i'll help you out.

I know for a fact that i could never even come close to designing a website like this in my whole life.

Jasper these boards are pretty much preset all ya have to do is tweak the settings a bit and add mods or code it to your liking. You can do it. They usually come free of charge with hosting such as godaddy or host gator. Or, you may open one up for free. They are a bit intmidating if you havent worked around one before.

To the contrary, Dane has done an incredible amount of customizing to get this to work properly, and, more importantly, to keep it running. This is particularly so since the site has grown so much in both numbers and visibility.

The amount of security measures needed these days to prevent attacks, particularly from certain countries overseas, is now nearly unbelievable. If you truly believe that running this place from an IT standpoint is simple, you just don't understand much about IT. It's like parks...nearly every kid who has built one in RCT or has ridden 50 roller coasters thinks they could run one better than the people who do run them--or at least as well.

Yes they have done a wonderful job.

I have run these type of boards. They are simple until you customize them to your own liking. Codes conflict, hackers and the like. Can be a nightmare at times.

i like the bar thingy at the top of the screen but i don't care much for the dotted lines on some of the replys.
