KICentral adds Lion Country Safari and Troika Historical Photographs

Featured Replies

Paul Koch, a formal ride op from seasons 1972 to 1976. Has sent in some of his photos of the near opening day of Lion Country Safari and Troika (now known as Shake Rattle & Roll). You can check them out in our Historical Photo Gallery. Don't forget to look at the full size of each photo for some commentary from Paul!

Awesome photos of Troika! I love to see the best flat ride in the park when it was brand spankin new!

AWESOME pics. I was just showing them to my mom. We rode that in '75...but I've never seen pics of the actual station and monorail itself...we have pics of the animals, and the woods. Wow, just when you think you've seen everything!

Those are some nice pictures. It's amazing to see how much that area of the park has changed in the last 20 + years.

Thank you for posting those pictures. Wow the park has changed alot over the years. I wish the park would like look these again but things change.
