I didn't see a question just someone erroneously saying it would be closed. That asked for the source of that info probably so they could correct it so more people dont get mislead. They then stated the correct information. I didn't see anything wrong with their tweet.

No but it's just water running.

Ride spieling thoughts?
I've heard FoF auto spiels this year. There is a female voice that gives the safety directions and the male voice that says a few ominous things.

Decoding Episode II: Rivertown 2017 and the Falling Trees
It doesn't make too big of a difference actually. The footers for a coaster that is skewed would actually still be in the same place, since they are at ground level and the ground isn't skewed much at all. There will always be some very minor problems, but nothing big at all. For a coaster the size of that, the coaster might be off say one or two meters.(I've worked with Google Earth almost every day for the past couple of years for some projects (including KI), so I've gotten fairly knowledgeable about it. ) In your experience how much does that affect the view? While the footers may end up in the same place do they appear to hit someplace else on the map? Plus 2 meters could be the difference between going over the turn table or the line.

Google Maps needs to update KI earth view
"son of a" Beast?

When using those maps you have to remember they are not a perfect top down view like the layout is. The plans would have to be skewed to fit properly. They also merge thousands of pics to create a full map meaning the way the map is skewed could change over the course of the layout. You can tell how skewed it is by the sides of the buildings.

Kings Island 2016 Discussion Thread
Wouldn't that be wrong? Screamin' Demon was installed in '77. I'm thinking it was '83 when they changed to the backwards train on Racer. The trains on the South Racer were turned backwards in 1982. Which still makes the trivia wrong, unless it's something like "first racing coaster to go backwards". I would guess they mean full circuit.

The Beast needs to be updated
The brake shed is a different story since it needs to be relatively flat and have enough height that the train can complete the circuit. For example that is why FoF has a MCBR near the top of the ride. I didn't say the ride has to hug the ground at all times but that it does follow it most of the ride. And I don't agree that these changes would improve the ride at all. Hence why I am against them.

So what that pic tells us is... there's still room for some antique cars back there! Seriously though I'm glad its bigger than I thought it would be. Any chance of a higher resolution version? Goes really close to WWC station and the Picnic Grove.

I don't think marketing a small woodie will be a problem. A good ride is a good ride even if it's a bit on the small side.

I laughed, thought it was a joke. Maybe I'm wrong:P

The Beast needs to be updated
The terrain dips there which is why the coaster does. It doesn't have any quick dips though, just a hill. And he talked about changing a lot more than the now too long brake run due to the magnetic brakes.
-
The Beast needs to be updated
Re profiling track and adding dips to tunnels aren't small or nominal changes and will change the soul of the ride. There are no dips because there aren't supposed to be quick dips and more banking reduces the lateral forces. Removing trims will require sacrifices in maintenance and/or the ride experience. The ride could easily become too extreme without them and/or cause track/structural damage to the ride making it rough. You need to understand that the ride doesn't have certain elements because it's not supposed to. Diamondback doesn't have loops not because it can't but because it would change the ride experience.

The Beast needs to be updated
I don't remember the exact figure but over 90% of the ride is the original wood. I'll see if its on KI site when I have time but probably won't be for a few days. And there are far older things out there still kicking. (Trying not to look at Terp...)

The Beast needs to be updated
Start adding double downs and other nonsense and it isn't The Beast anymore. I love those elements but they don't fit the ride. It would be like giving Diamondback loops. The Beast has its own unique layout going and doesn't need to be more like other coasters. Count me among those who would be upset about changes. If you want that stuff build a new woodie, like a GCI or something...

Decoding Episode II: Rivertown 2017 and the Falling Trees
I don't think they would have bothered with WWC and the funnel cake building if that is the case. And that is a long distance that has to go through Diamondback and the old Crypt building. The old location of the funnel cake building and WWC entrance would be less in the way if this were the case.

I don't think they care that much. I'm sure they knew this would happen as people were checking before this came out.
