Any thoughts on Screamscape's assertion that "sources" say that Mean Streak will be going RMC?

Of COURSE they were going to the park. Another fine example of our fellow park goers. Opening weekend Sunday I had the pleasant experience of witnessing some idiot smoking dope in the men's restroom by the arcade.

Wow. I didn't know this. I never go in that way, but I do when I leave, I love to drive through those beautiful willows with water on each side. I find it enchanting. Guess I need to stop doing that.

I didn't hear any complaining, thankfully.

A lot of people hang out with others they met at coaster events. Riding with people who share the passion can be a lot of fun.I might suggest attending one of the meetups, though I'd probably be considered biased in this regard. GOCC & PointBuzz had organized ones for CoasterMania yesterday.Another thing you might do is attend some smaller smaller coaster events. A group of 100 is less intimidating than a group of 1200. Yea, I knew about the pointbuzz meetup. Didn't go. I need to stop being so anti social. Didn't know about the GOCC. I lament how it doesn't work out with those who I used to go with anymore. On the other hand, I've ridden with you before, Malem. HA!!

I agree that it was much better than last year. If only I can get someone to go with me next year. 2nd CM in a row now solo.

If they were in the Lakeside Pavillion then the park probably caved unfortunately.

^exactly what I've been concerned about. Tony states: there will be NO ticket sales at morning check-in! the event is officially SOLD OUT and no other tickets are available. Hope the park sticks to this.

Some punk kid immersed me at the end of Escape from Pompeii last year. I was not happy.

Seriously, not sure which I like better now. CP is my home park, but I get to KI a few times a year. Apples and oranges, I guess. When I was a kid I much preferred CP over KI. I wear very rose colored glasses when looking back at the CP of the 1970s. Most of my fav rides from that time period are gone. It had more variety back in those days.

In the late 1970s there were 3 families: Family on left was the Geauga Lake family Family in the middle was the Cedar Point family. Family on the right was the Kings Island family. Logic dictates: My family was the Cedar Point family. Ergo Cedar Point is the best.

Horrible. Expecting CLP to provide open attractions is like expecting a hardware store to provide fresh produce. There's a nice park called Waldameer close by....

The park that would not die... Reminds me of poor insects with wings or limbs missing floundering before the inevitable outcome.

Didn't help yesterday in Festhaus LaRosa's the cashier having to put wristbands on many of the customers at the register. Beyond the parks control is how people pay. I painfully watched a young woman count coins out of a plastic baggie. I have the dining plan and just get water. So one scan and I'm done. Hopefully the park will figure out how to streamline things.

Plus smokers can choose not to smoke in non-designated areas, as well as not litter the ground and waterways with cigarette butts.

I would be too. The thought crossed my mind because of all the "alleged" unregistered people that showed up and were let in last year. But it was uncapped and free. Played by the rules and bought my ticket. Hoping for a great event.

I wonder if there will be a mass of unregistered "enthusiasts" that show up Coastermania morn. And if so will the park cave and let them in?
