I'm thoroughly confused by this picture, but...whatever...it'll all make sense come mid-April. :-)

Whatever keeps me from getting stuck 300 feet in the air for hours on end until they fix it! Seriously, my single biggest fear in the park...lol.

I wouldn't mind a water feature in the middle of the helix, with some nice vegetation and places to sit down there.

My Kings Island Itinerary
I don't remember how to put on the restraints to Firehawk, but no worries, they'll make sure you're in there rather than letting you fall out. ;-) Don't sweat it.

How much ya got?? If you want a really amazing day add $75 and get a Fast Lane Plus ticket, and ride and ride and ride and ride....

My Kings Island Itinerary
If the park is busy---or even if not---take advantage of the flat rides. Viking Ship. I somehow almost always end up getting on Shake Rattle and Roll. The lines are short, and provide a good time when you're tired of standing in long lines. You won't lose much time on the big rides waiting for a couple minutes to get on some of the smaller ones. Heck, even Boo Blasters is a nice change-up.

I'll politely suggest that Don could have made it clearer, but that is not to suggest I do not appreciate his posts. This is the Internet, where folks can and will misInterpret lots of things in the absence of sound and body language.

LOL...I was trying so hard to make it clear and easy---finally---for everyone. :-)

Parking is free for everyone with a Coasterstock ticket!

My bad. Misread it. I thought he was saying even a "regular" season pass would get you free parking. Good ole Internet...my apologies! But why would Gold and Platinum passholders 'need to use their SP' if it's already included? Anyhoo...

Perhaps there was just a miscommunication. Technically, parking is not included with Coasterstock tickets as I've read it here. You have to have some sort of season pass to get free parking.

Meh. "Fair" is totally subjective, but I see your point. Still prefer the Kings Island Fast Lane way. I suppose they could tier it further, but I'd like to see a front-of-the-line-pass exist at all parks. Even if it costs a fortune.

^ You must not buy Fast Lane passes then...lol. Because jumping straight to the front of the line at Kings Island is certainly "better" when you've just dropped a bunch of dough to do so versus jumping to the not-front-of-the-line. :-)

I might be in the minority, but I'd be shocked---and I mean really, massively shocked---not to mention a bit upset if they eliminated Fast Lane altogether. I absolutely love it on the rare occasions I indulge. When I don't it doesn't bother me. I'm more concerned how they'll price it this year, and the Fast Lane vs. Fast Lane Plus lineup.

I always felt the area where the old funnel cake stand stood, was not a great area. Almost nobody went under the awning to sit and eat or rest and relax. It was just a wasted space back there. Wasted space in a high-traffic area. I also wonder how many people blew right past the entrance to WWC not even realizing it was there? More than a few.

Sure...but I don't think they are building it inside of the train loop in what was/is the woods? Something else going on there.

Whatever they're doing, I hope I like it. :-) Either way...it's nice to see them trying to make it better for us!

Honestly, done right, the ability to move the pictures where they need to go should be cake. Should be. Picture traffic could be significant during crazy busy times, but I'd bet their network is pretty good for this simple type of thing. But...when there are people involved anything can---and will---go wrong from time-to-time.

Can anyone provide insight as to how this works if you are "head-of-household" with a wife and 3 kids? I'm assuming for on-ride photo's I can only get the digital if I was on the ride? But what about other pictures? Can I have a picture of my kids taken without me by one of the photographers and put it on my account? I don't really care to have pictures of myself so much, but how does a family tackle this new option in the most price-conscious way?

Changing up the Early Ride Time rides from month-to-month. Shame to see Banshee off the list until August, but I think I'm more happy to see additional diversity in the choices. https://www.visitkingsisland.com/passholder/offer-detail/Passholder-Early-Ride-Times/?mobile=0

Working Full-Time and Visiting KI
As a full-timer 3 hours away with 3 kids in school I definitely recommend Sundays. Being so far away we can't pop in of an evening, but just about always Sunday mornings are not crazy busy. Often on a Sunday morning we will get up early, make the drive and hit the park for early-ride-time, and then be heading back home by 2pm. 4-5 hours of lots of good rides, and still home for dinner. Always worth it.

What would you like changed to KI in the next five years?
We got invited and went up in the restaurant for the Snoopy party at the end of a cold, rainy day this past April. Only time I'd been up there, and it was pretty cool to finally see it. As for improvements to the entrance, I really like how they had it themed for Haunt. Maybe they can change that up periodically for something interesting. Beyond that, I just think they need to put some water features up front before you get in. I like the big dinosaur...maybe a couple other similar somethings. Nothing crazy, but easily maintainable themed items that relate to what awaits inside...and "pretty" features, like the water features I suggested.

^ I may be alone here, but I go to Kings Island to get away from screens. "Times Square-sized Jumbotrons" and other television style screens greeting my entrance to the park would be a turnoff the likes of which I cannot possibly put into words. I'm not saying the entrance couldn't be improved, but I think massive TV screens flashing "exciting" content are a horrible idea. Just awful. There's already a bunch of tv's all above the turn-styles letting us know which lanes are open. That I can handle. They aren't the most attractive thing, but at least they aren't blasting nonsense at me when I first walk in. I absolutely LOVE the idea of a sit-down dining experience overlooking the fountains. Personally, I'd love to see this actually take place outside right next to the fountains...ala a San Antonio Riverwalk experience or something. Probably asking too much there, though.

Kings Island overall food concession experience 2015
I appreciate the Subway, Chick-fil-A, and Panda Express offerings in the park. I really do. If done right they bring value to the park. And my wife and most of my kids hit Subway every visit, whilst my son hit Potato Works, and I went to Burrito Shack. Service was decent enough every time we went...but we avoid a packed park. If I was a franchisee I would think KI would be a place to clean up, and rake it in over the other park fare. Which makes me wonder...are these corporate franchises in the park rather than local? Anyone know? A local franchisee---one would think---could outperform Cedar Fair's offerings in the park. Right??
