Great ideas. Would be nice to see the Festhaus go back to what it looked like, the detail just draws you to the building! Bringing back the Ferris Wheel there (or on IS behind the Eiffel Tower), the Skyride, and a new Keggers ride, it would bring people to the area. It seems like it’s just a area you pass though right now, if you’re hungry you stop and eat.

Does anyone know when the tree’s were added on International Street?

Awesome photo! Imagine having the Star like that on the KI Christmas tree, and if KI brought the floral shrubs back, they could add some lights on them as well. International Street would be even more amazing!

So it sounds like from that interview Mr. Hart did with the radio show, he wasn’t 100% correct when he told everyone the other day, that the Fair Board has everything they needed (paper work) to green light the coaster project.

Everything looks great! They’ve really took a lot of effort in this, I can’t wait to see construction begin, and the pics everybody will be posting from Halloween Haunt and Winterfest.

Wow, this year sounds like its going to beat last years Winterfest! I heard they tied the Magic Kingdom last year, maybe they'll move up this year!

Now we can all see why Holiday World ended up walking away.

We got 6 months to go so its going to be awhile, yeah we might as well start the #whatsinthelayout hype train now. Someone already made 1 layout, maybe they can do it again!

The shade isn't a big problem, but the park did use to have more then what it does now. They cut some of the branches off the tree's on International Street, so that doesn't help with having shade, and it looked nicer as well. Hope they bring back the floral style shrubs next to the Royal Fountains, and possibly the floral "Kings Island'' design that used to be in the front of the entrance, put that somewhere in the park as well. Edit and can we get some new tables on IS with umbrellas?

^^Don Helbig already confirmed, KMAA will not be going under The Racer, and is staying on the Zephyr side of Coney Mall.

Nice info @Shaggy, so it was Tim Fisher who thought removing the Antique Car's and our Flyers was 'modernizing the park', when in reality it was setting the park back, and removing big parts of its history...

Sad to see it go, it was fun when I rode it in 2015. I didn't think Vortex would be leaving, with the Hawk making the sound in the background in the video. RIP Firehawk! F

I still think its Firehawk for my final choice.

I don't think KI would sell KK a piece of their history (today anyway), when they know some will be nostalgic, and instead of visiting KI, they'll go down and visit KK for the memories.. Vortex is pretty popular still and The Bat I doubt they'll take out, since they just renamed it.. I wonder if they'll give us more hints in the graveyard in a few days?

So is it due to budget cuts, slow attendance, or was this something already planned to happen? Maybe we’ll find out starting in the 2019 season, with a wall near Firehawk (or whatever coaster is going away).

My guess is, the park will tell people soon if its a coaster or a flat ride, that we might miss, probably within a week. Cedar Point let their fans know ahead of time with Witches Wheel and Mean Streak leaving. When was the last time a ride left Kings Island? Did they alert everyone about last rides to it?
