Haunt 2017
Forgot....I couldn't believe the line for field of screams, I have a ride pass and got a time of 845, the line looked like it went on for miles, we kept walking and walking and all these people in line just kept twisting around. I liked it but not enough to wait that long!

Meal Deals, and meal deals
I went to Banks in August and was really disappointed, the staff was not very friendly and the only option was a bowl, no burrito. And on here people are saying they've had the burrito on the dining plan. I had the pork and loved it last year but not this year.

Haunt 2017
We had a really great time meeting everyone last night! Only wish we didn't have to leave so early but a 2 hour drive home we didn't have a choice. We did get a ride in Banshee before we left. Looking forward to Winterfest and the meet up at Great Wolf Lodge, would like to share a room to cut expenses. Now we are just trying to figure out how to get up to CP the last weekend and the last Sunday to KI.

Haunt 2017
Yeah I definitely would avoid Blackout, I loved it except I was first holding the rope, it takes a while to get thru it and I've got a hip injury that made it a little difficult. I will do it again just be in the middle, not due to being scared but cause of my hip. My husband and I are just getting ready to leave, anyone else going tonight that wants to meet up.

Haunt 2017
We went for our first time to haunt this past Friday, real last minute plan as we live 2 hours away. I had not read this thread as I didn't want to know anything in advance. KI is my home park now that I moved to Kentucky but I have always had Cedar Point in my heart as my home park growing up in Detroit. Last year we went to Halloweekends and I'm not knocking it, I loved all the decorating and themes they had and the houses were decent but I was disappointed in the mazes. Hands down KI has a much better haunt, which I really did not expect. We got there after the gates had already opened which was probably a good thing as I have a hard time standing. I always get a ride pass as I truly need it. Last year I had no clue it could be used on the haunted attractions but it did, they just took us through the fright lane. KI for the most part was the same thing, except fields of scream, that girl had attitude and told us come back at 1230, no thanks I planned on leaving by then. A sort of cool thing happened after that though, we went to urgent scare, they were as nice as could be and took us in the fright lane. We waited a little longer than usual, the reason being they were waiting for the skeleton key room, I didn't know what to do so just went along w it. That was the best part! We are going back to CP the last weekend in Oct and I know on Sun their skeleton key is cheap, in going to get them as I will use my ride pass for the outdoor mazes on Fri and Sat. We by no means got to do everything but were really happy. We got our first ride on beast at night and wow now I really know what all the talk is about! I also loved Diamondback and Mystic Timbers at night too. We did slaughterhouse which was ok, cavern of terror we liked, urgent scare and kill mart which just didn't have enough actors in it. The one thing we also tried to get the most out of our meal plan and ate at 730, about midnight right before leaving we went to get our 2nd meal, what we ran into was the stands being out of stuff, we went to fest haus, I had been thinking about panda express all evening, of course the girl in front on me got the last orange chicken, no low mein, beef and broccoli so I went across thinking I would just get a salad to take home, nope sold out. Made our way to the front and that larosas was also out of salads so I just got some pizza and called it a day. I think this was the best visit we have had to KI ever. Last year I also did Busch Gardens Hollowsreams which is why I thought I was disappointed at CP, nope KI is just as good as Busch Gardens was. I would like to go every Fri buy we will see about the weather. I know Fri the 13th we really want to go. What is this big group every one is talking about that's going?

Meal Deals, and meal deals
Yeah I knew I should have said something, the girl at the counter really showed that she could care less about customer service, pretty unusual as I've never experienced this. We don't share our passes for food as its just the 2 of us. An odd thing did happen, both of our passes were supposed to have one all season drink pass on each pass, we opted for the paper cup renewal instead of the bottles you have to carry around. When we went to use our drinks, we found out my husbands pass had 3 drink plans and my pass had 2, I have no idea how this happened, not that I'm complaining, but just odd.

Meal Deals, and meal deals
So we went to what was our favorite place to eat, Hanks, I was disappointed that they took the chips and salsa away, but they said the only thing we could get was a burrito bowl, has anyone else run into us? I was really looking forward to the burrito.

What really BUGS me.
Oh I would love to tell her to stay in Florida, but I'm a nice person and will just let it go. I've been to Disney and Universal and they are wonderful but for real coaster enthusiasts nothing compared to what we have up here. I do want to get back to Hershey, it's been about 25 years since I've been there and I loved it. I just can't stand people that think they know it all and feel they are so entitled.

What really BUGS me.
Considering I just spent the most horrible weekend ever due to a "Florida" person, I will keep my butt right here in the Midwest. She thought everything about Kings Island and Cedar Point were sub-par and that only Florida parks know how to do things, I can give you her number if you like so you can both compare together. Thank goodness my husband and I are going back alone.

Halloweekends question
Yes what a wonderful review, thanks for taking the time to write what you did, very helpful.

Halloweekends question
Yes I do need to go to guest services the first day I go but definitely will do it the second day. I wonder if I get there early enough if I could go to guest services and then get back in the car and go park at Soak City.
-
Halloweekends question
Another great tip THANK YOU. I have a hip injury so any thing that will help with the walking I will take. Can you park there that late in the season when Soak City is closed? We will probably go in May, book it early next year, as they have the easy pay option. Only reason I was look at lighthouse point was the waterfront cottages but I will take your advice and do breakers. Please hijack the thread, any info on either haunts I would love to hear!

Halloweekends question
Also just want to say thank you to everyone on here that has been so nice and informative, I don't post a lot but when I did on the CP forum I was jumped all over.

Halloweekends question
Thank you SO MUCH for this valuable information. After reading your post I think we will just head up to Cedar Point on Friday and go to the park Saturday, do the rides during the day since we will have fast passes, do the haunts at night and go back Sunday. This way if there is bad weather we have three days to play around with. I am used to the cold weather, I grew up in Detroit and moved to Kentucky two years ago. I would so much rather put layers of clothes on then be sweating in the heat, guess it's probably because of where I grew up. I wish we could stay at breakers but it's out of our price range, last year I stayed at the Motel 6 Huron and it was clean and nice, am able to get it that weekend for $69 a night. We are hoping next year to stay at either breakers or lighthouse point. Since this is a non planned trip we have to do it as cheap as we can. Are you going this year? Would like to say hi if you are. My husband and I were pretty disappointed this past weekend as I had a friend fly in from Florida and we thought we were going to have an amazing time but she was awful to travel with. I had no idea she had put on so much h weight since I last saw her, but she wasn't able to fit on a lot of the rides and blamed it on the park, saying that Disney and universal don't do that, they have extensions on their seatbelts blah blah blah. It was so miserable, I think if it would have just been my husband and I we could have dealt with the water main break but with her we couldn't and she demanded that we leave. We are really looking forward to having a more enjoyable time in October.

Halloweekends question
Oh darn good to know, but if they are open we can get our last rides of the season. I don't want to waste what Cedar Point have me, it's a lot. Unless we do Kings Island Fri and do Cedar Point Sat and Sun

Halloweekends question
The Fast Lane we plan on using on Saturday, they are free, as the park screwed up this past weekend and are making it up by giving us park tickets, fastlane, early admission and all day dining

Halloweekends question
I'm sorry to have been confusing, we are going to Cedar Point Fri and Sat and Kings Island Sunday. We weren't even planning on going at all so this is a big deal to us. I will make sure and not buy fright lane til I get there.

Halloweekends question
Thanks for the reply, we are going the last weekend in October, right before Halloween. I'm hoping the fright lane passes are a bit cheaper, Cedar Point is giving us passes for two days, early admission, Fast Lane plus for obe day, and all day dining for two days, so we weren't going to pass that up, with them giving us all that I would think we could afford fright lane as we are just having to rent a car and got a cheap hotel. I figured there would be more info after the summer but I'm just trying to plan ahead money wise.

Halloweekends question
I've never been to the park during this time, we have Fast Lane plus for the rides but are the haunted attractions a separate fast pass? We are going to Cedar Point first, on the park due to our bad experience this past weekend and then plan on hitting Kings Island on the way back. I don't dare ask this on the Cedar Point forums as when I posted about my experiencei got some pretty rude responses. Any tips would be appreciated.

Need some quick help
Well surprise surprise she was able to fit on everything she tried. I doubt she could have gone on Drop Tower as the man next to me couldn't fit and he was not overweight just broad shoulders. She did have a tight squeeze on stunt coaster and she got mad at the ride operator because he was pushing on the lap bar and broke her lanyard. Definitely was a better day than Cedar Point and thanks for the tips, my biggest lesson was I will never travel with someone again unless I know them really well.

Ugh sorry guys, darn spell checker, I meant Drop Tower and Delirium

Need some quick help
I don't know her stats exactly, she's about 5'6", 240, she's big chested and her thighs are big. I have a photo on my Facebook page from last night at Cedar Point. She won't do drip tower or deletion. I personally do not like Vortex, too rough for me. I love Banshee, beast and Diamondback and now that I have contacts again I'm going to try thunder hawk as maybe now I won't have that feeling of losing my glasses. I really wish we could just go to the park without her and the drama but we are stuck. I probably would have stuck it out it Cedar Point if it were not for her. One positive thing, KI doesn't have as much walking for me which is a good thing with my hip.

Need some quick help
Thanks I will definitely let you know how things turn out. My husband is a big guy and only had problems on wicked twister at CP, never anything else. Her attitude is what has been a challenge, she thinks because she lives in the land of Disney that all parks should be like them. No if you are too big to ride it's because it's a safety issue and not to humiliate you.

Sorry meant to put that we left Cedar Point and are going to Kings Island in the morning.

Need some quick help
Hoping someone can give me some quick advice. We went to Cedar Point today and unfortunately had a pretty bad experience due to the water main break. Our friend that is with us is big, I had no idea as I've not seen her in three years. Well she only fit on two coasters at the point and got mad and made a scene. I don't want a repeat tomorrow and was wondering which ones are restrictive for people of size. My husband is a big guy, 6'2" and 245lbs, has never had an issue and the only ride he had trouble on at CP was wicked twister so I'm not familiar on what rides are small. I know this is discussed a lot and I'm not asking if she will fit just which ones to probably avoid. I posted on the CP forum about all the headaches we had due to the water main break and they got rude, so please be gentle.
