  1. In comparing the two I found that the picture of the water fountain mountain thing in Tower Gardens on the 2014 map is not pictured on the 2015 map. Interesting...
  2. Is there a post somewhere about the new Season Pass Benefit Portal? I just discovered the portal myself when browsing their website yesterday.
  3. I personally prefer more thematic elements to areas and rides than to bigger and badder attractions. I'd rather have a short, themed dark ride with a fun and emersive interactive queue (see Peter Pan's Flight, Magic Kingdom) than a record-breaking invert with little to no theming at all (Banshee, sorta). I'm not saying I don't like Banshee, but I am saying the sweet spot is where you can combine a great coaster like Banshee with heavy thematic elements to make a one-of-a-kind ride (see Expedition Everest). great coaster + great theme = happy me
  4. I would probably want Cedar Fair to purchase the hotel and refurbish / update it just like they did with Breakers up in Cedar Point. It had so much history and I'm sorry to see it go.
  5. All the attractions featured in "Must-Do Disney" in Disney World, of course. (Listen to Stacey, she'll tell ya what you need to know)
  6. Mission: Space's centrifuge? Phew. I remember going on full-throttle (orange) with my brother and I remember being nauseous for an hour afterward. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. When you realize that the good old purply Banshee souvenir cup is now irrelevant to $0.99 refills.
  8. I, personally, have always been jealous of the Linus' Beetle Bugs riders; because I have always been such a fan of whip-type rides and wild cat coasters. I think a whip ride would fit quite well in Coney Mall with the other flats.
  9. What SeaWorld did seemed to have raised public awareness about Blackfish more so than it raised awareness about the truthfulness (or lack thereof). People heard from the news media about SeaWorld's response to Blackfish. What's Blackfish? People who hadn't heard of Blackfish looked it up. It's on Netflix? Gee. (Netflix has over 50 million subscribers, I might add) And BAM. Now a lot more people have seen Blackfish, and have been scared / ill-informed about SeaWorld and their care of their animals. SeaWorld encouraged people to research online for truthful answers. Honestly, I don't think people wanted to look up information about SeaWorld after seeing the film, because of its negative attitude towards the parks. Really.
  10. The TTA ride in Tomorrowland just seems more of a "transportation system of the future" than the monorail does....having open-air and automated trains. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Do you receive discounted tickets after the initial 4? And are the complimentary 4 valid for Halloween Haunt?
  12. I've heard you get free admission...do you get any other perks working at KI nowadays with Cedar Fair? Also, for people who have worked there, what are some cons to working at KI?
  13. The same lines, yes. But I think TTA runs on Electromagnetic propulsion as opposed to the Monorail which gets its power through the electric lines that run under the track.
  14. Just Disney dreaming here...but i think it'd be sooo cool if Disney had a people mover system instead of the monorail system to transport guests around the resort. Something like the Tomorrow Land Transit Authority People Mover.... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. If Cedar Fair were to purchase the Busch brand, that would give them a key into the oh-so-popular money-raking Florida theme parks.
  16. I often hear from people that once you stay in Cincinnati and establish your job here, it's hard to leave. I don't know why they said that, but I've heard it more than once during my summer job..
  17. https://instagram.com/p/ziS5GeuOGN/?modal=true Looks like it's getting a new lighting package, AND new LED lights! Can't wait to see how this changes Coney Mall at night, especially with WindSeeker's lights nearby.
  18. I had no idea they put that stipulation on the sale. Maybe it would've sold quicker had they lifted that requirement on the sale. But of course, I understand why they did so.
  19. Or tell customers their getting one thing and then change it to another thing. *coughcough* diningplan*cough* Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. I would be happy to follow your Google+ page! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Here's the direct link to the video. It's weird that SOB is like mirrored or something. The coaster is called Zero Gravity Gulch lol
  22. When you eat LaRosa's pizza and are reminded of Dollar Days when you went to the park to just to eat and see shows.
  23. Something in return? How about slowly raise the price of the season pass every year.... Haven't they already been doing that?
  24. 2007 (the year of the expansion) was a shifty year for Cedar Fair...working on the Paramount de-branding and such. They probably didn't have much of a plan for the water parks at this time, only that they wanted something new for 2007. Kings Island got the Soak City rebrand in 2012, and by the looks of what CF is doing now, it seems like they want to eventually rebrand every water park to Soak City. It'll just take time.
  25. Yet another reason why a skeptical attitude is needed to judge the information presented on the World Wide Web. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
