  1. Ironically, technology was made to "simplify", not make us yearn for the "simpler times".
  2. Did anyone figure out yet if those mysterious, un-marketed drink wristbands were available for sale again this year?
  3. https://twitter.com/KingsIslandPR/status/592461270248488962 Kings Island loves to share what they're "working towards". With no definite deadlines or dates of course...
  4. It may also give them a reason to remove one of the rides. As mentioned before, Backlot IS on some prime real estate. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Why's that? It's an attempt to improve attendance. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I would hope not, since Helbig confirmed on Twitter a while back that the Larsons would allow for snapping.
  7. soon to be public network? [emoji4]
  8. I am sorta dissapointed he didn't really talk much about BEASTly Kingdom. I would have been interested on what ideas they had planned at that time.
  9. For those still confused about snapping, this video is what happens when you have everyone on the ride who knows how to snap. The employee working the ride even said he'd never seen the ride run like that before.
  10. For all those interested, CoasterBob recently uploaded a great opening day video.
  11. I feel like they are sorta trying to do that with the new Season Pass portal, where you will buy tickets to season pass-only events. They'll be able to see who purchased what from the portal, and how often people are using the portal.

I, too, would be sad to see Invertigo leave. Because for me, it has always been the "welcoming coaster" that's there in view when you walk in the front gate. However, this thread has also made me realize that I really couldn't marathon Invertigo even if I wanted to. I remember riding it two times in a row with my friends a couple years back and remember me being nauseous when I came off. Today I can still ride it once without getting sick, but not twice. It's really disorienting for me. I think all the installations at Disney parks by Vekoma have been phenomenal, but that is probably due to Vekoma being guided very closely by Disney Imagineers. Firehawk for me is still a great ride (I am a big fan of flying coasters), but nothing compares to B&M flyers. My all-time favorite flying coaster is Manta in SeaWorld Orlando.
  13. Today, 17 years ago, on Earth Day, Disney's Animal Kingdom opened to the public. In 2008, they held a 10th anniversary speech, where Joe Rohde talked a ton about the park's history. This was just uploaded today.
  14. Care to elaborate on the Flight of Fear "full" story?
  15. Studying it like a college course... Hmm....sounds a lot like what the people over at TouringPlans.com did. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Right. Take the park at its word. Otherwise we would have another dining plan fiasco. Companies' reputations are harmed if they do not deliver on their promises.
  17. https://mobile.twitter.com/KingsIslandPR/status/589994176395157505 If you had to ask me, I'd take the classic sign over a new store any day of the week.
  18. Oh guys I got it. The reason they revealed the Crypt's sign is because they're making a new dark ride there and paying homage to the former ride, similarly to what they did with The Bat. It's obviously the only answer. </sarcasm>
  19. If there's one thing the Bring-a-Friend days did do, it would be to have more people buy season passes under Cedar Fair's management that wouldn't have originally bought one had they not been able to go to the park free for a day. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. For another, Cedar Point is a destination park, unlike Kings Island, at which the park's attendees are more so pass holders than at Cedar Point. Since a lot of them have been going to the parks for years, they remember the Flying Eagles; and therefore are more compelled to check out the new Woodstock Gliders.

  22. I suppose Chef Nate just makes the good food, say nothing much about the training of his employees actually serving the food...
  23. I was just re-reading some of the posts here and I really do like the idea of possibly Cedar Fair buying Great Wolf Lodge in Mason and re-branding it to Castaway Bay or something of the sort. I stayed in Castaway Bay two years ago and it was a great experience.
  24. They are really capitalizing with the Coke brand. It's not just a subtle partner anymore. It's everywhere. Scary. Italian Job, who just finished off a 24 oz. Pepsi. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. FastPass+ is the name of the system, as opposed to the legacy FASTPASS system.
