Banshee Construction Progress
Jason McClure, Matt Ouimet, and company take a spin on Banshee. Looks like they really enjoyed it! I wonder which brand new B&M they enjoy more, Gatekeeper or Banshee? Image can be found on Cedar Point General Manager, Jason McClure's Twitter page. EDIT: Is it me or does it look like they have AMPLE room between their legs and the restrains?

^^ Thats a pretty good thought! That area has to serve some other purpose besides a maintenance area. Theres little to no machinery back there, and if it were to connect with the road under AE's entrance that pathway would have to go down a pretty steep hill. Also i agree with myklhicks, whats the point of adding trees back there if no ones going back there? Riders on Banshee sure won't be paying much attention to them. Im thinking this will be a great spot for guests to snap some good pictures.

LoraX, they usually tell you to either stuff them down you shirt or partially put them in your pocket. If they have small loose article bins like Gatekeeper, you can put them there.

I don't think they need much room for lockers. They usually come on a first come first serve basis. Also, remember that there will be many passenger who will not need to place their things in lockers, or just don't wanna pay for them. It crazy to see where people leave their stuff when they get denied entry to the line because they have a bag and they don't wanna pay for a locker. Some of them just don't care that their bag is laying out in the open and others get too excited about the ride to realize that the place they hid their bag in is not discreet at all even though they thought it was (i.e. hiding a bag behind one of Gatekeeper's wings in the entry plaza).

Also looks like some sort of walkway behind the fencing between Slingshot and Banshee. Maybe part of the reason Don stated that Banshee will offer plenty of photo opportunities. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Looks like they've put something between the bottom of the first drop and Slingshot.

I very much think so! If they've covered the wheel, i think it means they've got the wheel combination they want.

For the photo of the train coming off of the first drop, can anyone tell exactly what color that train is? It looks either black or really dark purple to me.

Im hoping it can beat out my current favorite invert, Montu!! The one thing that Banshee doesnt have that Montu does is Montu spends darn near half of the ride close to or underground, which for me heightens the sense of speed. The one thing that Banshee has Montu doesnt is size and speed. The both have an incredible theme! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Maybe I'm late on this, but it appears that they have turned the lights on that are on the outside wall of the station.

Do you think we could expect to see the shades over the queues to match Banshee's theme? Not just match the color scheme? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I think the drop into the valley is going to be incredible! Then going through a 138ft tall batwing! It just gonna be an incredible ride all together.
