  1. Wrong thread perhaps? As for me I've never rode it. I might though :-) Yeah, wrong thread. I posted this fast while waiting in line for Invertigo, my bad... Carry on.
  2. I believe I just saw a new footer out near the S.O.B. station from Drop Tower. If your in the park today check it out, I hope I'm not wrong.
  3. I laughed, told him "Good one" and said "Have a great day." I was overly excited that he even acknowledged me.
  4. Did you really ask this? If so this points to much more footers being poured and a very large ride. I did, but I don't know how truthful he was with me. If he was serious about "A lot" more footers going in, that will bring the giga discussion back up. I honestly wouldn't take much of what he said to heart. After all he did laugh at me and call me "Coaster Boy".
  5. I said I would ask a construction worker. Question: "Its hot already, you don't get paid enough, how many more do you have to place?" Reaction: " A lot." Question: "Are you placing any further back in the shade?" Reaction: "Ask the park manager, coaster boy."
  6. ^^ Yeah, I see, I see.
  7. I think Wing Rider is out of the question at this point unless they have completely changed their construction method since last year. With wing riders, they tend to have a single support and footer underneath low laying track like leading up to the station. With this you have pairs of footers everywhere. You typically see this on inverts and flying coasters as the car hangs under the track and a single support would not work. I think its a forgone conclusion that its an invert at this point. A flyer isn't impossible, but it's an odd choice with Firehawk already on the grounds. If it's anything else, they would have to be building this one differently than just about any coaster they have done in the past. That's what I was afraid of. Not that I don't like invert's ( I love Raptor. ) But I guess I was hoping for a record breaking B&M floorless design, a giga, or a multiple launch coaster.
  8. I'm confused some believe it will be a Wing Rider, and some have completely ruled out a Wing Rider. It's seems you have the footprint kind of figured out, what would fit best, and be the most practical for what seems to be the footprint as of now?
  9. I'm just going to start with, man It's hot today. How many before your done? Then move on to, Are you placing any further back where it's shaded? You know, if those questions are answered it could give us a time frame on when we could see a station, or supports going up. It could also give us a better idea of a ride footprint. Or layout.
  10. My new goal: waiting for a construction worker to come close enough to ask him about the footers. I will ask how many more they have to pour, and...... wait, has this been tried before?
  11. Ten of the people I asked said they'd never ride it. I offered one woman 50 dollars to ride the Tower, she replied with " Ugh, no I'm good." Drop Tower literally makes people fear for their lives. Most first time park visitors rule out Drop Tower in the parking lot.
  12. I polled just under 200 people. 175 To be precise.
  13. After thousands of rides on Drop Tower, I still get the sweaty palms and the elevated heart rate when it reaches the top. Great ride.
  14. Jumping off Drop Tower is not a good idea. Please show some restraint. Let me reword that for the people that think they could survive a fall from 315 feet: When the ride has stopped and the restraints are lifted, you may then jump out of your seat and get back on the ride! rofl.
  15. Drop Tower is just about the only attraction you can jump off, and get right back on. My average is about 70-80 times a year.
  16. Well first you need a lookout, and then a diversion to occupy security. lol.
  17. Oh, God, please don't tell me you took Drop Tower! I hope you just took a light pole. ^Don't worry about it, everyone here hazes everyone, not just newbies. Yeah that college degree did real well there, I cant believe I didn't get that right away.
  18. Yeah, I feel pretty darn retarded. I just got your jokes. Alright, lets Haze the new guy!!!
  19. I wasn't aware asking people what the scariest ride in the park is was illegal,, I guess I wont ask anymore. lol.
  20. I love the ride myself. I was honestly shocked when Drop Tower was the most common ride that was mentioned. This pole was taken June 2013, I thought I would get reactions like "The Beast", or "Diamondback", I will be doing another pole in August to see if I get the same reaction.
  21. From a pole I took in the park, about 70% of those polled said they feared Drop Tower. How can the most feared ride in the park also be the most underrated? How do you feel on this topic?
