  1. ^ I agree with The Crypt. Volcano's line seems to take forever, so the sooner you go there, the better. Then, hop over to Intimidator 305. Have fun!
  2. Excellent trip report! Your photos make me miss BGW already. It's a wonderful park to explore.
  3. It does get crowded, but it's the most fun I remember having at Kings Island anytime.
  4. ^Maybe that will happen when they retire the front gate.
  5. So is that saying when someone pushes their weight into my lap bar, it is unintentional?
  6. It would pull enthusiasts through the gates from all over. Everyone else across the country would scratch their head and think blitz and mega-lite are new ice cream flavors.
  7. Operator error wasn't why someone on The Beast this summer stapled my legs down so tight my right leg went numb. That was the most uncomfortable ride I ever had.
  8. Any crew at Holiday World. Watching them perform their job was like watching clockwork. Yet, even with their level of attention to efficiency and cleanliness, everyone there still manages to keep a personal level of friendliness with their visitors.
  9. I'm just allergic to boredom.
  10. ...and this is why I always thought Gemini had a lot of character. Perhaps someone else could come along and make a smoother ride identical to it with today's technology... but it just wouldn't be Gemini.
  11. It's human nature to want to do something someone tells you not to. I think a lot of people try to reach out only because of the warnings. If we ever have a Winterfest again, I want to see signage warning people not to lick the poles.
  12. Funny... I was just thinking the other day that they were missing one of these.
  13. Very nice! I like the shutter delay effects in your pictures.
  14. Nice pictures! That looks like a very fascinating park.
  15. ^That dive loop may end up just as impressive as the first immelman on Griffon.
  16. I heard a man's kids ask what the upstop wheels were for, to which he promptly answered, "Roller coasters don't really need those, they're only there for safety." In The Beast line another guy proudly explained how The Vortex was built on a swamp, and that it was slowly sinking. (How old is this rumor?)
  17. The current Banshee structure just looks enormous in person. I took a couple good shots with my Sony in the Eiffel Tower.
  18. I picture The Racer or Screechin' Eagle.
  19. I wouldn't say boring. The other Mondial rides in Canada's Wonderland look very exciting, and the top scan I rode at the state fair was almost too much for me!
  20. Perhaps Cedar Fair was already in contract to build more than two. I don't know about in the amusement park industry, but in my line of work if the buyer cancels a contract in the middle of manufacturing they have to pay for all work and engineering done up to a certain date. This would be very uneconomical for Cedar Fair if this were the case.
  21. I really like our FRALAC!
  22. Just this one. I'm thinking about joining PointBuzz. I lurk CoasterBuzz a lot. I also like this site: http://www.rollercoasterphilosophy.com
  23. Wait a minute... does this mean we get our eagles 20 years from now?...
