For The First Time Visitors to Halloween Haunt
We put together a little video with some reviews of the mazes we hit and a walk through of the park to give folks who have never gone a feel for what its like. Give it a view if you are curious what Halloween Haunt is like and if its for you. Forgive me as i am not the most cinematic individual. I really did this more for my son as his classmates are scared to attend and live vicariously through him i think haha. We will post more every weekend until its over. Cheers!

Haunt 2015
I agree that staffing seemed thin in some of the houses Friday as well as scare zones. Saturday the park was so crowded we left early but they had more characters in the scare zones than Friday.

Haunt 2015
Great video! At the beginning of the video, when you are walking toward the Banshee (around the :50 mark)--is that a version of the music they used to play on first lift hill of The Beast? Thanks! Good ear on the music. It was used on the lift hill, the song is called The Darkest Day and it was from the Independance Day soundtrack i believe.

Halloween Horror Nights (Orlando, Hollywood, Japan)
Hi. I just got back from Halloween Horror Nights 25 at Orlando. We spent two weekends. It was a blast!. Top houses were.... 1. 25 years of Monsters and Meyhem 2. Insidious 3. FvJ 4. An American Werewolf In London 5. Body Collectors 6. Asylem in Wonderland 3d 7. The Walking Dead 8. The Purge 9. Run All the scarezones were good, thought the two best were, All Night Die In and the Shadybrook Block Party. I will try to post photos later today and i will be posting a video to youtube this week and will link it on here later.

Haunt 2015
My son and I enjoyed the Haunt this weekend. Saturday was crazy busy but we got a chance to walk around and hit a few of the houses. Very pleased for the most part. The menacing tower looks great! We posted a little video of the haunt on youtube. It might be worth watching to determine if you want to attend the evening festivities or not. We can't wait to go back again this weekend. https://youtu.be/h584Zbay0vE

Haunt 2015
I missed the opening weekend and last weekend as well due to being at Halloween Horror Nights 25. I have a lot of catching up to do since i missed the first two weeks. For all the production value of Universals HHN its funny i still prefer KI's Haunt a bit more. I can't wait to go friday, KI did a great job on that facade this year! Leaving work early to catch the opening of the gates.

The Beer Fest
When they have Moerlein IPA at the beer garden i am typically content. If that isn't there you are right...not much i could really call craft. BUT i applaud the effort and with this beer tasting tomorrow maybe we will start to see MadTree or one of the other local breweries featured on a tap or two throughout the park.

The Beer Fest
I don't know. I just pre purchased and printed out the ticket. These things tend to sell out.

The Beer Fest
I am going to check it out. Its 15 sample tickets and each sample is about 3-4 oz. I usually only use a fraction of my drink tickets when i go to these things. I think its nice to see the park is doing this and the breweries seem to be mostly Ohio based. Typically the craft beer crowd isn't as roudy as the bud light crowd.

Drinking Alcohol in the Parking Lot
Hopefully i don't ruffle anyones panties, but if you conceal a beer in a water bottle you could probably get away with it. I usually don't drink at the park except during the haunt i may have a beer or two. I sometime put a brewski in my 20oz aluminum water bottle for a pre-beer in the lot due to the lack of craft beer at the park. Otherwise, a couple beers before then 4 or 5 hours of walking and eating pizza will sober up anybody provided they just had a beer or two. I don't see anything wrong with it. There are a lot of things that are 'illegal' in the state of ohio that are pretty stupid, drinking beer in a private parking lot i guess is one of them. True, if KI doesn't want it then they have every right to enforce it, i will take my risks until they start carrying better beer. Below is a list i found online for dumb ohio laws...just saying, if its illigal, doesn't mean you have to abide. Women are prohibited from wearing patent leather shoes in public. It is illegal to get a fish drunk. (darn) The Ohio driver's education manual states that you must honk the horn whenever you pass another car. (thats why i get called a honky...) No one may be arrested on Sunday or on the Fourth of July. (these are the days to have fun!) Participating or conducting a duel is prohibited (this is actually legal now. A lawyer friend advised me it was made legal a few years back when they rivised a code. Obviously if you kill a participant then its murder but the act of Dueling is no longer illigal...go duel away my friends..) Breast feeding is not allowed in public. In Ohio, if you ignore an orator on Decoration day to such an extent as to publicly play croquet or pitch horseshoes within one mile of the speaker's stand, you can be fined $25.00. It is illegal for more than five women to live in a house. (sucks for those families with 4 or more daughters and the mother living under the same roof) It is illegal for stores to sell corn flakes on Sunday.(apparently only in Columbus Ohio but hey...its a dumb law that i have broken numerous times)

Haunt 2012 reviews
well, the poor lads costume did not arrive. We will get dressed up next weekend. He will be Blackbeard the Pirate, I will be Eddie from Iron Maiden. Today we will be our mild mannered selves. I need to edit my original review. Last night was great. Chainsaws wandering again, I noticed a few extra props i didn't see before and the lines were never more than 30 mins~. Beerman is a superhero name I brew as a hobby.

Halloween Haunt Questions
I have gone the last 3 saturdays and they are pretty crowded and crazy. I can typically only hit a couple haunts on a saturday. I just went last night and it was much more enjoyable then a saturday when it comes to lines. I will be there today though, the boy wants to do the daytime trick or treat.

Haunt 2012 reviews
Hello! First post but as a long time KI visitor i thought i would post my review. I have not hit the daytime Saturday/Sunday stuff yet with my son (almost 9 yo as he would put it). But we plan on doing that on Saturday, he was waiting for his costume to arrive so he could dress up (Blackbeard this year for some reason but hey), he also has me dressing up this year with him so he doesn't feel out of place (can adult patrons do this?). Anyway... Overall atmosphere is awesome at KI around now. I went opening weekend and I was not feeling the ambiance that i usually do. I went again last weekend though and it was a LOT better. *10/10 - Atmosphere (i think that freak street was a bit better last year and Nightmare Alley with the chainsaw sound coming from Slaughter House in the distance was better then also but all in all pretty spooky, kid loves it too) ***bumped back up from original 8/10. Chainsaws and other missing elements were present last night. 5/10 - CornStalkers (last year i would have gave it a 7/10 because the ScarActors seemed a bit more into it, I did go opening weekend so could be why. The fog was not as thick and this probably hindered it. I will go through again before it ends to see if my score goes up) 5/10 - TombStone Terror-Tory (if you didn't have to wait for an hour or so to ride the train, then another 20-40 mins to go through the maze i would have scored it a 6 or 7/10. I have tried to go the last two years but the line was always so darn long we typically passed. I kind of felt like a sucker for waiting for it then after getting off the train...waiting again. Also i felt like some of the props toward the end were very similar to Corn Stalkers) 7/10 - Massacre Manor (nice classic haunt. my son really like this one. No complaints but nothing out of the ordinary) 8/10 - CarnEvil (my son ranks this one as his Favorite so far. nothing really different from last year but always fun. the tunnel is great and bubbles annoying cool too) 6/10 - Cut Throat Cove (we went through this in the daytime, 6:30pm, and we thought it was cheesy, my sons a pirate this year though and he felt 6 was fair as it might had been better if it was dark, i promised him we would go through again this saturday in the dark to see if it was truely better) *9/10 - Cavern of Terror. This is a nice maze, top notch, the scare-actors did a great job, you can tell they were having fun. *8/10 - Wolf Pack. I enjoyed this one a lot. I guess i wish it were longer, it was a bit confusing as to were to turn but thats also why i liked it so much. This is all i have seen so far, i will edit and update as i progress. This weekend we plan on hitting Wolf Pack Friday and Cavern of Terror also (reviewed above now). Saturday will be Cut Throat again per his request and Urgent Scare) As for the slight subject change on the violence on the actors, that just sucks. I use to work at the old Cambonie Mission Haunted House in Anderson TWP and had never had this happen to me personally but being 6'5" i was typically asked to help get the offenders off site asap. we always had a sheriff on duty to assist. If this ever happens while i am walking through with a group i have the Actors back Side note: Kudos to KI for getting slightly better beer on site... thumbs down for price though. Cheers!
