I got suspicious when it said that Vortex "delivers jolting blows to the chin and neck." Seriously, I've never experienced anything close to that on Vortex. A few might have, but that doesn't mean EVERYONE would experience it that way...

Back in April on the 10th I was at Kings Dominion. When I was getting in line and getting on Anaconda a few minutes before the park closed at 6, the ops were singing Ke$ha songs. As the train was leaving the station I could tell they were truly having a good time. In addition, when the train arrived back at the station, one of them said, "How was your ride?" in a normal tone of voice, quickly followed by another op saying the same thing in an utterly crazy fashion. Everyone was laughing, including me.

Really? Then again, the lines were shorter by a bit on 10/02/11 than 10/30/11.

^I've been to every KI closing day since 2010. Believe me, it'll be one of the best days to go (concerning the lines) even though after that day you'll have a six month wait straight ahead.

Wow. and to think I was a passenger on those trains on Closing Day, only a day or two before that pic was taken!

I'm about 59% of the way to 2 stars; it says 4 visits because I forgot my pass on one of my 5 visits. Also I spent ~$11 total on a KI bracelet ($1.29) and a Vortex photo (~$9) this year so far.

DARN!! I went a day AFTER them. AND it was only a few days till I joined KIC.

I just joined FUN Perks and I'm already 58% to Level 2! Of course I've visited four times (plus one trip when I forgot my pass) and spent money on a bracelet and a Vortex on-ride photo, so for now I'm good.

Man that would be AWESOME!!!!!! I never been on a single ride in the rain before The closest I've gotten to it is when it was sprinkling really briefly when I was in line for Vortex. Anyways, nice report, CoasterOhio!

I visited KI a day after you did. I went on 8/13! If I ever go to SFMM it wouldn't be until 2013 at the earliest. Good reports!

^You're welcome! I guess the reason I always get giddy around/in line for/riding Vortex is because I remember so much from past experiences. Plus, I love it like it's a best friend. I'm a person who gets attached to THINGS as well as living beings...Vortex is only one of them.

Is Gobbler Getaway themed like Thanksgiving? If it is, it would make sense for it to smell like pumpkin pie. Just sayin'. P.S. I've never been to Holiday World
