  1. Doubling up my posting here, but I'm on my phone so it makes it difficult to do anything. Not all airtime comes from hills. Depending on where you are, the turns can easily count as airtime if they're fast enough. Maverick for Example. All the turns, depending on who is in what seat will get airtime. So possibly count some turns. Plus not all Airtime is possible to see.
  2. Hold up, I had talked to Don when he was at the Train possibly 3 or 5 days ago. And he said that they aren't going to tell us what's on the shed. But I had asked him "do you know what's in the Shed?" And he responded with "Yes."
  3. WWC should be closing early due to the construction.
  4. More than likely. Looks like they're starting with section 1b first.
  5. I don't think an Enterprise would fit in the old Flight Commander spot. The diameter is too large. Why not put it in it's original location at the front of Coney Mall? I realize Skylab was a Giant Enterprise, but similar enough. Source: ThemeParkReview It was in that same location after Adventure Express opened Because you have the Rope-ladder game, Coca-Cola Freestyle, and a Basketball game right there now, that the park probably doesn't want to get rid of.
  6. Banshee had a separate camera aimed at the back half of the ride. Woodstock Gliders & Buggies had their own camera during construction. (Live-still from the Woodstock construction camera)
  7. Woodstock Gliders would disagree. Also. I never said the camera was on yet. All I said is that there is a camera on The Crypt building.
  8. I discovered something on Diamondback when riding. You can also see this from potato works. There is a camera on top of the crypt building pointing towards the construction sight. I think this is our construction camera. Or also a security camera. But it may also be used for construction.
  9. With how much ground is still above it, more than likely it's stabilization of the footers. Especially with how much strain will be on the supports for the curved element right there, and possibly the entire ride.
  10. Those footers are the first Curved Drop. Notice the Curving of the trenches, especially in Pic #1
  11. Hey! Let's go back to talking about Mystic Timber CONSTRUCTION, and not just off-topic junk about how to nickname it, or talking about Mean Streak... Anyways. It looks like our first footers are coming in. And It looks like they're making some big footer trenches with pop-up footers (See Diamondback's Hammerhead Turnaround for example.) Is what It will be looking like.
  12. if you have a pet peeve against inaccurate signage, I guess you should be mad at the FunTV's for displaying inaccurate Wait Times.
  13. That's at fault with the Admissions associates as they have control over the TV's via an Ipad, but they don't change the lanes instantly. Don't rely on technology to tell us which lanes are open when you can easily see via, a person standing (Or sitting) at the turnstile.
  14. I like MysTi the most. Ride was themed to fog a bit.
  15. Add my own experiences for rides.. The Racer is very rough on me. I actually feel like I have back-troubles on the ride, actual back pain... I'm 17, and also do not have back problems. (It mainly happens at the bottom of each hill, where the track for some reason right there at those points in the ride, it's very bumpy and the train bounces up and down with it. The Beast, I never have a problem with it, unless I am in the 3rd row of any car (Wheel seat.) I specifically like to ride Train 1, Car 4, Row 2. Mean Streak did the same thing as it does for me with The Racer, but it was also my first time riding Mean Streak at the time, I may ride it once more when I go to CP again soon. I'm fine with Mean Streak getting the Axe, it's more than likely being renovated. GCI, RMC, whatever it is. IT doesn't matter. Something is happening to it.
  16. We should get a Scribolaba in a new ride.
  17. ^ I saw them by Diamondback as I rode it today.
  18. I may as well give in my two cents about this ride, since everyone else is sitting here bashing on what they think the park should've gotten, and what they shouldn't of gotten. Let me first say this. The park does not decide on what YOU specifically want for the park. If the park, and company, decide they want to build an RMC, or a Giga, or even an Intamin Strata. Then they may go forth with the idea. They don't pertain to your thoughts exactly. They decide on what's best for them, what's best for revenue, and what's best for the General Public, and this does include us Coaster Enthusiasts. We are still the general public. The park needs a new ride, that's awesome, has many great moments, and secrets to it, that can also be ridden by children. The last 4 new rides (outside of Planet Snoopy) have been rides that are 52 inches and up for a minimum height requirement... Firehawk >>> 52' Min. 80' Max. Diamondback >>> 54' Min. WindSeeker >>> 52' Min. Banshee >>> 52' Min 78' Max. Basing on other GCI's of similar designs, we can only guess that right now this ride will be 48' Min. But it more than likely will be 48' Min.... What is the last ride build (that is still in operation as of July 31st 2016) That had a 48 requirement Outside of Planet Snoopy? Answer "What is Backlot Stunt Coaster, Opened in 2005" That's 12 years since the last family attraction outside of Planet Snoopy has been added.... I'm sorry. We do not NEED a high capacity thrill ride with a ride requirement of probably 54' We need a family thrill ride with a requirement of 48' that is fun for everyone. The park doesn't answer to your needs, it answers to its needs. Diamondback lost to Prowler in 2009. A GCI wooden roller coaster. Why do you think we need such high thrill rides that break records in order for people to come to the park? We don't. We just need a unique sort of rides that will bring people to the park. Not every Cedar Fair park needs a Giga, Just as much as not every Cedar Fair park needs a GCI. But if Cedar Fair puts everything in every one of their parks, they will become bland, and they will lose revenue. Now, let me talk to you about the ride it's self... Mystic Timbers, while the name is not catchy just yet, at least's is easy to pronounce... Rougarou? Valravn? We don't need names that are really hard for the public to pronounce. Something simple can do. Mystic Timbers. The name will grow on us, we will come to love it just as much as Rougarou and Valravn. For the actual ride, I like the idea of the ride interacting with the lift once again, just like with Banshee. It makes for some cool shots of the ride, and it looks beautiful (although that's my own personal opinion about rides that do this... it is true, they look astounding.) The lagoon interactions, as well as the train, WWC, and many other things with this ride is just all in all cool! Also, First roller coaster at Kings Island to have a tunnel since 1979! (I think? Correct me if I'm wrong) I like how the break run is slightly tilted at the end, Makes me wonder if it will be something other than a Drop track. I like the idea that someone said recently that vines will grow over a projection screen with a Medusa like creature swarming in, and you get out of there right before it's too late (slight launch and then a stop? It is vehicle themed.) We won't know What's in the Shed until April. What happens in the Shed, will Stay in the Shed. #WhatsintheShed Can we please stop arguing about what the park should've gotten? The park knows what it needs. and if they think the park needs a Giga, then the park needs a Giga. But right now, we don't. Thanks.
  19. Yet there are 5 in the park.
  20. The name is nice! Mistack Trimbreaks. Oh wait....
  21. Kings Island is releasing new 360* POVs of a few of their rides now. Banshee 360* The Beast 360*(Not yet Available, but it does come up)
  22. Kind of hoping for another attraction in that general area.
  23. "Another Major announcement!" "But wait, there's more!" Basically the same thing.. I guess Decoding isn't done just yet.
  24. So yeah. I guess rumors will be true. Diamondback will be shutting down early for the Gp to access the area. A way to mark this for sure is that workers doing clearing are lot allowed in certain areas while DB is operating. --- As a side note. I also heard about WWC and Train closing earlier than the parks closing day. I'm really not sure about that one.
