Anyone in line for Fast Lane (at least what I seen) was ran before anyone in the normal line which made the wait MUCH worse on FoF and DB. (only two rides I got to ride). We were next to get assigned a row on DB and their was a steady stream of FL and everyone went before us which added right around 10 min more of waiting. it was probably 5 trains full of FL before we got a assigned row! I hope it doesn't stay this way all year! We were just barely out of line queue for DB and waited 2 and 1/2 hrs! On the flip side FL would of been worth it, opening day!

It will be a carousel that is dragons and spits fire. It rotates at 50mph while in reverse and it will be playing the Brady Bunch theme song. It also poops cotton candy. That‘s just my guess... FoF had no music or lights on in the actual ride part and still has seatbelt thing. Oh the wait sign for the ride was themed to the ride. I'm not sure if it was that way last year or not?

Lets see if Ouimet is still leaning towards a Disney approach or if he has changed off that path... A new indoor roller coaster would be great!

Has their been many ride break downs/downtime today? I know KI has had a bad history of this in the past... Will be coming probably around 6pm today!

Looks like 62 deg, cloudy, 30% chance of rain for Saturday... hope for no rain or some in the morning and that would probably thin out crowds.

The 41st opening day took place in 2012.... whoops.... I fixed that.

How long do you guys think the wait will get for DB and or The Beast (or any other ride)? I think the max wait for the day will be 90 min during day and that night 120 min (downtime is NOT counted) for both DB and The Beast. After opening day we can all report back are highest times we seen on April 27th 2013. "Happy 42st annual opening day! May they odds ever be in your favor!"

I say and hope he does individual ride theming first, bring back full effects to BLSC, maybe some lasers in FoF (inside ride) were it looks like aliens shooting back and forth, upgrade the tv's and have the video redone into HD for FoF (their is software to upgrade video quality), make some upgrades to Boo Blasters (especially the guns!!! get some where you can see where your shooting), then add more special effects to AE, add a time vorad at the end of The Racer to show who really won (start timer when they are dispatched and ends right before break run and is displayed on a tv monitor for both sides. Now to overall park theming, make each area feel more themed. like AZ make it feel like walking onto a movie set, give River Town more of a western feel, make International Street have some foods/shops from around the world, turn the fountains into a show at the end of the night, sync it with the fireworks and have water projectors of the parks history, slowly redo the parking lot or make it into a garage, (which could free up space for a coaster(s) or other rides), allow for company's to come in and allow guests to do taste testing and try new products and in exchange for the guest(s) time they will get some KI bucks (1 KI buck= $1), have workers dressed as tourists (camera, funky clothing and bunches of souvenirs on them (universal does that), have a scavenger hunt where guests have to go around and find different stuff throughout the park and have to get picture and write down answers on a piece of paper and then give the family free access to DA or a small ice cream*, last but not least workers will have a different uniform depending on what section of the park they work in. These are a few ideas I have that I think would make for a better day in the park. to help cover the expense raise the prices of gold and regular season pass another $5. Most of these things are not to hateful of a price, it would give for a more exciting visit to the park. *up to 4 free DA tickets or ice creams. DA or ice cream vouchers must be used that day and ice cream voucher not valid with 3rd party ice cream companies.

I asked a while back on the 5@5 if KI could have the world's first 500ft tall coaster? Answer was no because of near by airport(s)

I do understand what your saying, but most rides were left and not even touched, a very select few were taken apart and scarped or reused. Question time, was the whole park even underwater or just parts of it?

One thing I do find odd is the Six Flags in New Orleans, they didn't scrap nothing from the rides or take any ride parts. most theme parks i've seen abandon reuse or scrap stuff but it is left the way it was before the storm... The rides still don't look all that bad either! Also i've seen this tree somewhere else...

Giving everything a stronger feel to it's theme. 1.International street has foods/shops form all around the world. 2. Coney Mall has music from it's era and signs and clothing 3A. X base has gates (that are open) with fake barbwire at the top (but looks real) that lead into the X base and before you reach the gates (right under The Racer) their is no trespassing signs and restricted area signs on the gate and around it. 3B. X Base: Every so often at night you will hear gun shots back in the woods and near by, you will also hear weird creature sounds. lights will flash down in woods with the gun shots. their will also be tree branch movement. example of possible sound: 3C. At the X base their will be random 1-2min blackouts (at night) of the lights back their and blinking red lights will turn on and a siren will wail and all heck will break loose. 4. For The Beast the old SOB crate will be sitting back by The Crypt, their will be smoke coming out and the box will be shaking and rawring style sounds will come out. Their will be some big foot prints leading back into the woods (right next to box). For added effect during the day and night ride of The Beast their will be fog in the first tunnel and at the end of the tunnel their will be two red lights that are barely visible. 4B.(during haunt) Their will be a dummy near the track (at the turn after the tunnel) with blood all over it and a blood trail. I will give more idea's when I can think of more... Note: for 3C the blackouts will ONLY be outside FoF.

Paramount style rides (with movie rights) but maintain the rides like Universal Orlando. (by that I mean a ride will stay closed for every short period of time and rarely is closed all day or more than hour for that matter.) Reason I didn't say Universal style rides cause it is nice to ride them on a occasion.

I truly wonder is 1972 was the start of their decline... If it was, I wonder if/when the same will happen to KI?

I know company's like their money but come on! I think that is to far... I think instead charge $35 for Fast Lane and get to ride each ride only ounce... then offer Fast Lane plus for $60, gives you unlimited rides on everything...

I would like to see it go backwards again...
