  1. I would bring the Big Dipper from the defunct Geauga Lake to Kings Island. The owner really does not care about the ride. If he did, he would have let someone buy the trains, control panels, and chain-lift for a decent price. This way, since the ride is rotting away, they could re-build just the way it was with some of the old mixed with it. I'm just guessing here, but I think the reason nobody wants the property is because the owner won't get off his butt and accept the offers that people are giving him. Cedar Fair also should contact the owner and think about moving it to Kings Island. This would work since they just deleted Son of Beast out of the line-up.
  2. ^ Don't feel bad, I never rode Big bad wolf either.
  3. That's what I was trying to say but I didn't spit it out.
  4. You see, I like Flight Deck myself and I understand your point. As far as land is concerned, would it be possible just to remove the long line of queue that isn't needed anymore? When I rode Flight Deck last year, I saw a lot of people cut through part of the queue so they wouldn't have to go all the way around. So what I'm saying is this ride is still a popular ride, so I cannot see it going anywhere for 5 more years at least. Unless Kings Island plans to build a newer B&M Inverted roller coaster in the area which is possible, It makes sense just to keep it for now.
  5. Wow so much potential in that land.
  6. ^On Pointbuzz, people refer to the Lemon Chill guy.
  7. Ok my bad. I just have been reading this topic off and on and have taken it seriously lately. I need to relax!
  8. This seems like a question more for Don. Why would they advertise Vortex on the travel channel and then come out later on and say they might remove it in the future?
  9. I'm still hopeful for a B&M Floorless roller coaster. Ohio needs one since we don't have Dominator anymore.
  10. I really hope they can make a way for Vortex to stay. Yes it's bumpy in some spots, but it's part of Kings Islands skyline of roller coasters. Every park has to have some kind of ride to grow old with too. For example, next year at Cedar Point, Blue Streak will turn 50 years old!
  11. If they are going to put a Giga coaster in, I would love to see them put something in like Intimidator 305. However, my vote is still a Gravity Group wooden roller coaster.
  12. Anybody think they'll have a big fence around the area of Thunder Alley and the SOB former spots? I know Cedar Point likes to use the long brown fences for new construction projects and I would guess we would see the same for Kings Island.
  13. Anybody think they'll have a big fence around the area of Thunder Alley and the SOB former spots? I know Cedar Point likes to use the long brown fences for new construction projects and I would guess we would see the same for Kings Island.
  14. I agree with you buddy. However, I hope we see pictures of the empty land of no SOB and no Thunder Alley.
  15. I like your idea about the relocation of Big Dipper, but I think that would mean Cedar Fair would have to buy it back from the owner. This would also mean that they would have to replace a lot of the wood. From what I heard, a lot of the wood has rotted it out and needs replaced. So to me, the owner is out of his mind of wanting the whole thing transported whole structure in all.
  16. God Bless her and her family.
  17. I voted Gravity group because I believe they can really create an interesting layout in SOB spot. I don't know if this would be possible, but it would be cool to see a 90 degree helix. I also believe they could Interact the loop in there.
  18. Anybody besides me notice the guy on the train repeatedly saying ow ow ow? That how I felt when I rode it.
  19. I feel the same way.
  20. I feel bad for Big Dipper. By the time somebody buys that ride, the only thing that will be good is the chain lift. Maybe Oiment or whatever his name is will bring back Geauga Lake one day.
  21. I agree with you Brian. I mean when SOB was built, at the time it overshadowed The Beast because of it's size and speed. However, I'm sure the ratings for it were low though because all the complaints it had over the years. I think it would be Awesome seeing an Gravity Group wooden roller coaster come in and bring some popularity back to that side of the park. Plus Kings Island has three wooden roller coaster that are traditional. Seeing another wooden roller coaster come that is completely different from the three would be Ideal.
  22. Gravity Group. We need another top 5 roller coaster to fill SOB void. Something similar to Voyage, but fills the old layout of SOB.
  23. ^ What I meant is for Kings Island to build something similar to El Toro or Voyage.
  24. I know Intamin makes wooden roller coasters. I would be just as excited to see Intamin come in with a new wooden roller coaster the same way if Gravity Group were to come in and build another wooden roller coaster. Either one would be a big improvement over SOB. Plus since Cedar Point is up north, I think it would be neat for Kings Island to build something that Cedar Point doesn't have such as a Voyage or El Toro wooden roller coaster.
