There is actually a thread talking about this very topic... And yes, I am very bummed too. However, Orion and Diamondback (with support from Banshee) have attempted to fill in the gap for me.

Yeah, I was wanting to go see the zombies on Saturday as the weather was Haunt-esque (and then the temp dropped to Winterfest levels lol) More on topic: Invertigo will get removed at some point Backlot Stunt Coaster will get some sort of refresh (spinning trains would be great!) KI might try opening later (like in May) like they did in 2020 and years following due to this year's slow start to the season (Adventure Port/restaurants not ready, rides closed, etc.)

I want to second this as I did see a lot of security guards around the park last night. And yes, the weather did indeed transition from Haunt weather to Winterfest weather within the course of a few hours. As I said in another thread, by 8 the park pretty much cleared out.

I was so excited when I walked through this evening and saw everything that had been done since last weekend. It's gonna be awesome!

Oh wow! I had a fantastic time at the park - rode all major operating coasters minus Invertigo (it broke down while I was in (a very short!) line) and Mystic (by choice; ever since Beast got retracked, Mystic has been "rougher" to me and I've avoided it. That being said, I may try to ride it again as today's Beast ride was rough...). Highlights were second time on Orion (it was super fast in the back), Banshee (it also ran great; sat in my favorite seat (8-3; that's also my favorite seat on Rougarou))), a rain ride on Diamondback, and Backlot (as we were held at the "shootout scene" segment a second longer than normal and that amused me lol). Crowds were somewhat busy, but the park really cleared out around 8 and that was fantastic. Also found out the Tom + Chee opened today and got to see the inside of Grain and Grill (looks very nice). While at first glance I brushed off the menu as I am a picky eater and the food seems a bit adventurous for my taste, I got a look at the specifics tonight and they have bread (specifically, naan and focaccia)... yes, I will be going there for the bread and I eagerly anticipate its opening! EDIT: Also, forgot to mention I skipped Racer (despite the fact that there was no line when I walked by...) as I rode it last weekend

Line lengths have fluctuated today. Diamondback was only 3-5 switchbacks (no lower queue) while Beast was almost full (including station queue but minus lower queue). My first time in line for Orion, the line started after the stairs (where TV and first set of posters are), yet when I just got in line a few minutes ago (~10 minutes between when I got off and got back in line), I was drastically shorter (started at back queue with barely a switchback). Also, hanger was/is open.

When I came back into the park Saturday night, I very much noted an increased security presence in the park. As a note, I did not learn about the incident until I got home that night.

I was in and out of the park today, and while it was crazy busy and some of my go-to rides weren't operating (those being Bat, Delirium and Adventure Express), I still had a good time. Started with Orion, rode Red Racer (I can tell the retrack improved things! ) and WindSeeker. I then left to attend a board game event at my church and came back for the last hour and rode Diamondback (which was actually pretty fun!). And although it was not yet open, Grain and Grill looked pretty slick (at least from the outside).

For me, Dinosaurs Alive was a nice place to walk around away from it all (and in its later years, to play Pokemon Go!). If there was another walking trail like this at the park (dinos or not, but preferably without), that would be great. But more on topic, what would I have done to make Dinosaurs Alive better? First, I'd update it periodically (not just talking about the dinos, but the plaques and related things) to have KI's location (or whatever park) fit in with the rest of them. When I went to Dorney Park in 2015, I went through their Dinosaurs Alive and noticed that they had some different plaques/jokes that differentiated it from Kings Island's version. While that was cool, it would have been nice if some of those different things came to our Dinos when it was around.

Yeah, I thought the cocktail thing was an odd choice, especially since Brewhouse is right around the corner. Beverage choices aside, that is a great use for that space! Excited to check out the new Tom + Chee location where Chik-Fil-A was, though. -MDMC, who does not drink

I am glad that the shows have finally been announced. That being said, I was surprised the 70's show was coming back as I thought that was a 50th-specific show . However, I'm still looking forward to seeing it and glad to see Phantom (and Larry!) and Off The Rails are coming back.

A lot of these sound appealing, but I think I'd be most interested to see a revival of Arrow Suspended, Intamin Catapult, and/or Togo Ultra Twister. I have never ridden an Ultra Twister, but I feel like this has the potential to be a really cool ride. If they really wanted to, they could put seats that flip (up/down, like Slingshot) to intensify the experience. However, I think I'd want to try the regular version first.

I most remember seeing the digital signage about closed rides, but I likely saw the physical sign at one time as well. Also, I remember the inserts that used to be in park maps. On the trip that would be my first ride on Flight of Fear (in the 2000's), I got a flyer saying that day was a limited operation day (IIRC, Flight of Fear was one of the few coasters open that day)

I looked on the website today and was surprised the show lineup has not been announced yet... 25 days
