Hello new here
I forgot to mention that Adventure Express at night is amazing! I know you may not get to that this trip @grsupercity, but I recommend a Night Ride on AE sometime in the future! And of course, Beast night rides are one of the things KI is famous for.

Italian Job (BLSC) featurette featuring Kings Island.
Just watched this and it was really cool! Almost makes me wanna go ride it again... Also, did not know that Dave Cobb was the voiceover guy! Although this is super cool, is this still the case, though? The voice I remember while riding didn't sound like the voiceover audio featured in the video. Maybe I wasn't hearing correctly; I'll certainly be paying more attention next time I ride.

Hello new here
Good stuff! Banshee has a very unique layout and Mystic is really fun. My favorite coaster at the park is The Bat (an Arrow Suspended that is tucked away near Banshee); I've been riding that since I was a kid! Also, Invertigo is fun too! Though you can choose to face another rider (or an empty seat), I prefer riding on the ends (my favorite seat is the very back (going up the first lift forwards), seat closest to the entrance). If you find you enjoy your first ride on Invertigo, try riding facing the other direction!

The Flat Ride Speculation Thread
I know that these are not being made anymore, but it would love to see an S&S Sky Swat come to Kings Island. As for the location, I'm thinking Action Zone, Rivertown, or even Area 72. I've said this before, but a Zamperla Hawk 48 Meteor @ Dorney Park) would be a cool addition to the park; especially now with the addition Area 72.

Welcome to KIC! Which ride/rides are you most looking forward to when you visit KI? Also, I'm curious to know what coaster is in your profile picture/avatar.

Coastermania: Kings Island in the Late 80s/Early 90s
Very, very cool! -MDMC, avoiding a one-word post...

Coastermania: Kings Island in the Late 80s/Early 90s
BUMPING because Throwback Thursday! Also, does anyone have this VHS? -MDMC, wearing his King Cobra shirt today! EDIT: If there was a DVD of all the coasters nowadays, we'd have to include Mystic, Orion and Banshee!

Kings Island Dreams
BUMP! I had a dream last night/this morning that I was riding The Bat and there was still some monorail track that had not yet been removed from Lion Country Safari. Also, to my right, I could see there were some waterslides (and I think a wooden coaster) that had been newly repainted. In the dream, the track I was riding on was a straight section that was where the queue line would normally be IRL.

Tricks And Treats Fall Fest - Weekends Sept. 26 - Nov 1, 2020
Seems like a really cool event! That was really clever how the Petting Farm area was used for the Tractor Races this year- especially using the pens as barriers. It's like a real-life Mario Kart! Also, on a side-note, did the Petting Farm ever operate this season?

Vortex question
That makes sense. Also, if/when The Bat meets it's demise, I hope they do something like this for it! It would be really cool to have a piece from The Bat (or even old Top Gun memorabilia that might be laying around!)

What's your favorite Kings Island memory?
I've had lots of memorable days at the park; some include: The first time I rode Son of Beast, which got me over my fear of looping coasters The first time I rode Flight of Fear (my first indoor coaster); I remember it being one of those limited operation days, so I didn't really have a choice as it was one of the only coasters open lol The many times I've went to Spiritsong over the years (IIRC, I think one of the last opportunities I had to ride Son of Beast occurred when I was taking a break from the music); there was also that one time a few years ago I "won" (was actually given) concert tickets while in the park that day (lightning did not strike twice that next year lol) Mystic Timbers announcement was pretty cool; also that Preview Night was the most crowded I've ever seen the park (I only rode The Bat and Mysti)! Closing Day 2019 was epic - it was Vortex's Closing Day, one of my best friends met me at the park for a few hours and other things NYE 2019- in light of what this year has brought with me not going to the park, that night was one HECK of a sendoff!!! I'm sure there is more, that I just can't think of at the moment... EDIT: Back when I played, playing Pokemon Go at the park. I did a few Community Days with friends (got my first Shiny ever) and during the first Winterfest, I got a Delibird (which was a limited time event!)! I remember waiting in line for the Charlie Brown Christmas Spectacular, checked my phone, got out of line and headed towards Action Zone. Once I caught it, I was so happy; I said that it was a "Winterfest miracle"!

Forum Software Update
You're not the only one; It took me a sec to find the Edit button as well (I was so used to having at the bottom). In fact, the first time I tried to edit a post since switching to the new format, I thought the feature had been removed (as I couldn't find it right away)!

Coronavirus Impacting Theme Parks
This is great news! Also, not sure if this is old news yet, but this brought me hope for the future when I read it a few days ago: https://www.themeparktourist.com/news/20200925/29251/florida-removes-theme-park-restrictions-part-phase-3-opening I was so hopeful as since Disney is one of the biggest (and most visible) theme parks, others will (hopefully) follow suit as/when more states start to open back up.

Museum of Horrors - Any Information?
Yeah, that would scare me as I don't like the idea of freezing to death. On the other hand, going through something like that a few times would be a great way to conquer that fear... -MDMC, never a fan of those adventure stories about someone climbing/being stranded on a snowy mountain

We Are Missing Haunt Photo Contest
Ok, so I found another one. Even though is is still light out; this was taken during Haunt (I was getting in line for Wolf Pack):

We Are Missing Haunt Photo Contest
After a quick look, I found I had only a handful of Haunt pictures that do not feature Scareactors in them. Here's one of them:

Vortex question
Good eye! I knew one was from Firehawk (with the red and green), but I had to look at it closer to realize the second one was from Vortex. What a cool souvenir! EDIT: Personally, I'm more of a fan of the Firehawk piece, especially as it's both red and green; representing the ride's past and (at one time) present.
-
Vortex question
I'm guessing that's from Firehawk??? Also, fun fact, if Firehawk was still around (at KI or elsewhere), that particular ride would be celebrating it's 20th next year (because it opened as X-Flight at Six Flags Worlds of Adventure in 2001)!

Fall Fest Tricks and Treats
That would be nice if it came back next year; I'd be willing to try the regular flatbread (hold the onions and sausage!) and the cider. And I'm always up for grilled cheese!

Museum of Horrors - Any Information?
That may explain why it was a good first Haunt maze for me as it wasn't too bad (I enjoyed it!)! Now Trail of Terror on the other hand... that scared me really bad the first (and only) time I went through. I'm proud to say I'm much braver now!

History of the Haunt
I'm gonna BUMP! this thread as Haunt would be happening around this time if not for current events (and also, it's a good read). Since I was busy scaring in the cornfield last year (and on some nights, you could find me in a wax museum or a hospital), would someone care to give a summary of the Haunt changes that occurred in 2019? I know we got Drums of the Dead and Shipwrecked, but I'm not sure/don't remember if there were any other notable changes. Thanks in advance!
