Any updates on this book yet? I just bought Ken Miller’s Rolling Through The Years book for Cedar Point, and am excited for this one now. I loved the annual park maps/year by year break down in Ken’s book. Does your book include these at all, or is it more narrative driven? I feel super spoiled after Ken’s book, and am SO excited to have a book from my home park now.

Honestly, am I wrong in just hoping that this is the beginning of repaving the parking lot? I believe some sprucing up around the property would be perfectly aligned with the park’s 50th anniversary. I know something as simple as a parking lot sounds trivial, but for first time visitors, the parking lot leaves a less than desired first impression. I love our park and would love for new people to have the best experience possible from the moment they enter the parking lot.

No disappointment if I get to have a physical copy of the history of the park! Buying a few copies for friends as well. :)

Yes they did. It should be on the playlist. The entire Top Gun soundtrack was played.

I was at the park on Tuesday and it appeared to seem that they were bringing pieces back to the ride to potentially reassemble? Maybe they just needed to get a few replacement parts to fix whatever was wrong.

So, I recently creeped through the forums and made a playlist of songs played at Kings Island, songs that made me think of Kings Island, and songs that made a lot of the forum members thought of when thinking of Kings Island. I like it. I just don't know if it would be a benefit to the park financially. Even if the ride is closed, they would still have to do maintenance to the track of The Vortex to ensure that the supports don't collapse and that the track is sturdy.

As much as i'd love to see a Giga at KI, I am quite discouraged from it. I am a diehard KI fan, but I have plenty of friends that prefer CP. Seeing as CP is seen as more of a thrill park, I constantly feel like that is where CF would prefer to install any planned Gigas in Ohio. I know there will be a Giga at KI one day, but I feel like it won't be for a VERY long time.

I really like the idea, I just feel like it's too soon to be thinking of any plans like this. Plus, I find it really unlikely. Even though KI enthusiasts like us would enjoy seeing such a thing done to such an iconic ride, the public that come into the park would probably think the abandoned coaster was an eyesore (should I remind you of SOB?)
