Yeah, its supposed to look like an aircraft carrier, you know cause all aircraft carriers have track built over them that carry the planes! You realize that that reasoning would destroy the point of all theming on every themed ride.
  2. Yeah, the Mason yuppies seem to have a habit of doing that in spite of the fact that the park was there before any of their houses.
  3. You thought Demon was more fun than Face/Off?

    There was no waterpark then.

The lights in PKD's load station are also a lot brighter than PKI's. Makes it seem more like a warehouse than the inside of a UFO.
  7. And that's a good thing? Anyways, I seriously doubt that a ride would have in exess of a three hour line. With the exception of Outer Limits, which opened with only one train, no ride in recent times at KI has had that long a line. Large steel coasters typically have a pretty high throughput.
  8. 2 years ago? I thought it was five... Besides I'd much rather ride the shorter and slower IJ:ST than SOB any day. Also "more faster"? okay, maybe if you use actual grammar you will be rewarded. Also, when it comes to the best looping coasters in the world most people think of B&M. Most of their coasters are only around 120 feet or shorter and only go around 50 some mph, which I would hardly call fast or high. I think he meant more rides which are faster and higher, not rides that are "more faster".
  9. Actually, I think maXair seemed to be shorter than Delirium.

Lots of places. The standard (non-giant) Huss Frisbee has inward-facing seats. Mondial also makes a similar ride. Paramount's Great America is one example though.
  11. Rides do occaisionally shut down for various reasons. I sincerely doubt it's sinking.
  12. Yeah, the markings on the trains have changed several times, most recently in 2002. But that doesn't mean the trains themselves are different.
  13. The music on I-Street is from various movies, not just Paramount movies. As said, Superman plays, as does Star Wars which is a Fox movie.
  14. I thought they were no longer issuing new cards every year, just renewing the passes in the computer system. AFAIK, the cards do not have the year on them anymore.
  15. I'm pretty sure that all The Racer trains are from 1972 and all The Beast trains are from either 1982 or 1983 (whichever year they got rid of the 4-bench trains). Also, Flying Eagles actually isn't at PKI anymore.
  16. Delirium did indeed open today at about 3 pm.

Which it's pretty close to here in December in the evening. So you'd have rides going up and down all month, and people getting upset about it. Better to just schedule the ones you are absolutely sure can operate regardless of the temperature.
  18. No, that would be what the weirs are for. Just like in a river where an uneven river bed causes rapids, the weirs make the ride's trough uneven. They're basically metal semi-cylinders lying perpendicular to the water flow.
  19. lol
  20. What lake by WWC are you talking about? At the bottom of the lift? I'm pretty sure that's the reservior for the ride and isn't a natural "lake."
  21. Why is Seibert the only one who knows? Contrary to popular belief, he ISN'T in charge of the park and most likely only has a small (if any) role is choosing what the park installs. P.S. He isn't God either.
  22. He's 14 and already has come out?
  23. Those two rides had temporary power outages, probably because of the high electric consumption in the area due to the heat.

Word on the street is that Delirium was going to be tested tonight (Monday), but I don't know if it actually happened.
