  1. I went to Kings Island for a quick trip before we had to go to Kings Ford. There was signs on the parking entrance saying Diamondback would be closed, for people who didn't know. I got there around 8:55, but I was a few minutes late to enter right when they open. I took a long walk to The Beast. I walked onto row 5-2. A fun ride, pretty smooth in the middle of the car. I then walked back into the entrance And walked onto row 5-3. Much shakier, so that was a nice test. There was nobody in the row so I stayed on. It was a little after 9:30 and I walked onto row 6-2 on The Beast. Pretty smooth in the middle of the car. I then walked onto row 6-2 again. It was almost 10 now, so I decided to get 1 more ride at opening before I had to go. I met at rope drop and heard God Bless America. Then the lucky randomly picked kid counted down from 10 for the Park to open, and then the rope dropped. I was heading to Flight of Fear with the crowd. I walked through the quiet queue. I walked onto row 1-2 for the first train of the day. The lights were on in the tunnel and I liked peeking through. We launched, and the lights were in in the building! An incredible view of the track. But it only lasted a couple seconds, because then the lights went off. It was a great ride. I then headed out the front gate, and lots of people were heading in. A couple notes: *Beast did nice at ERT today. I liked marathoning it for an hour. *Invertigo is still closed, so I had no ERT on that. *Beast crew did nice filling up the trains quickly for ERT. Most of the times I was on a train heading into the station, the train in front of my train was already on the lift hill. Thanks for reading!
  2. ERT went nice today on The Beast. There were signs on the parking entrance letting people know Diamondback was closed.
  3. I'm ready to marathon! Less than a week now!
  4. Yeah, I noticed it a couple visits ago. I looked across the hanger from where I was (the right side, no switchbacks) and I could see it.
  5. Surf Dog was open on Thursday.
  6. Topic is already in discussion (but you were only 4 minutes later). http://www.KICentral.com/forums/index.php?/topic/25671-Diamondback-down-for-week-of-june-4th/
  7. Very interesting question, considering i might go just for ERT on Monday.
  8. I got that same alert from the KI app too.
  9. Was there a fence a long the former metal detector line or was it empty like at the beginning of the year?
  10. ohiocolts replied to a post in a topic in Kings Island
Check the webcam. All I see is a couple people playing volleyball.
  11. So, what de we have so far? Journey - Don't Stop Believin' Fun - We Are Young Adele - Rolling The Deep Ozzy Osbourne - Crazy Train Sounds good to me!
  12. All 3 of my visits were counted, and I have recieved 3 rewards. Cotton Candy, Popcorn, or a Thunder Alley ride.
  13. Ok so, I took my 3rd visit to KI today after school, kind of to celebrate that it was the last day of school. It was much more crowded than I expected, so i decided to stay away from the low capcity rides of Flight of Fear, Firehawk, Backlot Stunt Coaster, and Invertigo. So first we drove from school with me, my friend, and my mom and sister. This was mentioned in the Metal Detectors topic, there was now a fence along the path of the former metal detectors, there was a small entrance, where there is tabels you go through to check the bags. I missed the open space. So we got in, and my sister couldn't stay to long, and wanted to ride Viking Fury. Just a reminder, if you read my last trip report, my mom and sister are a little dumb sometimes, because they go in a zig-zag formation. (like going from Flight Deck to The Beast then to Drop Tower) So we waited for a cycle to end, then rode Viking Fury, fun little ride, and my sister wanted to go on The Beast. The line was a lot worse then I was expecting for today. They had most of the 2nd queue house open (the one by the stairs leading up to the station) and just the little switchback sending you into the 1st queue house, which was not being used. Luckily, the line moved decently, and it was a 30 minute wait. A great classic ride, as usual. It was almost time to go for my sister to leave, and she wanted a ride on Zephyr. So we walked onto to there and had a nice litte ride. Then it was time for them to go and me and my friend met up with his mom, who was in Planet Snoopy with my friends little brother and sister. We just said hi and to meet at Larosas at 5. (They like to eat pizza here). So me and my friend decided to head to Diamondback. There was about 70% of the switchbacks opened in the first main queue. We waited about 35 minutes and boarded. Rode towards the back and had a nice ride, as always. It was almost 5, so we met up with my friends mom and little brother and siser. We paid $24 for a whole pizza and used my pass to scan for FUNperks. When we were done, my friend wanted to ride WindSeeker, and I kind of did too. It was my first visit this year it was open. The line was pretty short and only a 2 cycle, about 5 minute wait. We boarded, and saw the long lines. Great ride as usual. I then wanted to do Vortex, but my friend said I could go ahead and ride, because last time was not very good for him. The line was kind of long, but do to the great capacity of Vortex, was only about 25 minues. The switchbacks in the station were being used (1 side of it). I went into row 5-1, because I read from KIC it is the best. The ride is better in 5-1, but still a little bumpy, but definetley tolerable. We then headed to The Racer, which only had red operating today. The wait was about 5 minutes. Nice, kind of bumpy ride. We then walked over to Adventure Express. It was a walk on, and there were quite a few empty rows. It was nice seeing all the theming working properly. When we got back, and saw nobody in the row, we thought what the heck, let's stay on! We did, and then we went off to meet up with my friends mom in Planet Snoopy. they get Ice Cream a lot here, so I did that. When we were done, there was about 20 minutes until the park closed, so me and my friend decided to get a last ride on Diamondback. The line was a little shorter than last time, but not much. It was about a 25 minute wait. Rode in the back row, and put my arms back for the splashdown so they would get wet. Fun ride, and seems more thrilling in the back row. By that time, it was about 8:10, and the park was closed. A nice day at Kings Island. A couple notes: *I did not see Invertigo operating today. I didn't spend any time in Action Zone, so it may have operated, but I did not see it if it did. *A bit bummed about the new style of metal detectors *I got home, checked my FUNperks, and saw I was offered a choice of 3 rewards, a cotton candy, popcorn, or Thunder Alley ride. Thanks for reading!
  14. I know. A bit dissapointed about it, missed the opennesss.
  15. The songs sound nice! Can't wait for the fun! Time to practice singing!
  16. ^^^ There was a snake? So they closed Zoom Flume?
  17. Surprised that it was not crowded. I don't see why you had to pay $8 the second day though. Thanks for the report!
  18. Just 2 weeks until Coasting For Kids! Kings Island now has raised over $5,000! If anyone else wants to help, you can still sign up. http://www.firstgiving.com/gktw/KingsIsland
  19. I believe at least at Diamondback they are $10 each and each additional is $3 each if you are a gold/platinum pass holder.
  20. The news was also calling it fast pass.
  21. I've been twice and have spent about $7. I only have 1 of my visits counted and I have no rewards offered. The visits were also not counted for my mother and sister who went with me yesterday, so yeah no rewards on one star.
  22. I didn't want to, but my mom and sister were in control some of the time. But yeah, lots of walking. You see, when I was alone, I stuck in 1 area (Delirium, DT, Invertigo, DT, Invertigo). And WindSeeker was stuck at the top the first few hours, then had some slower testing later on.
  23. So, I went to Kings Island today. I got there at around 3:30 after school, and decided to go see Don at the fun perks booth. Had a little talk about Coasting For Kids, and it was nice to meet him. So, we went inside and I headed for Invertigo. There was a small line, starting about at the tunnel below the loop. The wait ended up being about 15 minutes. A fun ride, as always. Then, my mom and sister (who I came with) wanted to go to Backlot. On the way they saw Dogems, which they wanted to do, and it was a walk on. First time doing Dogems for me in awhile. Then we went to Backlot. The line was just across the bridge, so it was only 5 minutes. A nice ride, with theming working perfectly. Then they wanted to go on Racer, which was a walk on. I wanted to go in the shaky back, but I actually managed to raise my hands for about half of the drops. I then headed for Drop Tower. A 5 minute wait. Just nice to see a masdive wooden coaster that's not open and then be dropped 300 feet. I then took a apple funnel cake snack break. Then I walked to Flight of Fear, which I saw the line start just outside the entrance inside. Same movie and stuff, and I love the new red and green lights. They were doing good making no empty seats on Flight of Fear, because they called for a single rider, and I was just what they needed. It was a 15 minute wait, and it was just pure fun Flight of Fear. I then headed over to The Beast, which was a 5 minute wait. It was a bit smoother after being retracked, even in the back. I then took another look at the Crypt. Same as before, but now the photo booth that was blocking the entrance had been replaced by two trash and. There is plenty of room now for anyone to sneak through, and nothing blocks the entrance to the que, so I was tempted, even though I knew I couldn't enter the building. Then I walked around to Diamondback, and saw the notorious "This ride is temporarily closed" sign. Isae no line for Woodstock, and me my mom and sister thought why not. It was a walk on for the front row. Then we decided to ride again and walk onto the back row. We then headed back to Action Zone to ride Flight Deck. There was nobody in the station except for two people in the front row. I waited just 1 cycle for the front. It was now 7, and we decided to split up and meet at the entrance at 8 when the park closes. I decided to ride the Action Zone kings. I went into Delirium and walked on to it. Great ride. Then onto Drop Tower again. Walk on, good ride. Then onto Invertigo again. Walk on, good ride. There was about 20 minutes left, so I decides to repeat Drop Tower. Then, with 5 minutes left, I decided to get my last ride of the day on Invertigo. Overall, great day at the park, not very busy, and rode 15 rides in 4 hours. Thanks for the fun day, KI!
  24. Looking at the webcam, there are 2 cars on there.
