  1. Don was on Fox 19 last Friday morning, talking about the last weekend of Haunt, Ed Alonzo returning next year, and a new show. Since the Thunder Alley cars are now back by Firehawk, I'm thinking TA will be on its way outta hear next year. So, I thought it would make perfect sense to see a Luminosity type show (As mentioned before) in Thunder Alleys spot next year.
  2. Great trip report malem! It was great to see you yet again! I've got that Beast tour video ready to upload.
  3. ^^Yes, Gold and Platinum passholders still get in an our early this weekend. Rides should be open, weather permitting.
  4. ^We'll just have to hope for another day like this next year. I promise I'll try more!
  5. Actually, "DiamondAceExpress" (Base of of firebeastoffear) has signed up, but the confirmation email was never sent to her. We resent and checked junk, but its still not there.
  6. Sorry I won’t have any photos in here, but the computer is driving me nuts, so I don’t have any. Anyways, me and my mom got to the entrance around 5:20 and saw Jonathan (jcgoble3) and a tall guy holding a KICentral Haunt Night Sign who I assumed was Malem (Matthew). A little bit later, Beastie1980 walked up to the group with her parents. Stashua123 then greeted us, also saying he was going to be with someone else for the night. A little later, Ronny (Gordan Bombay) asked if he could take a picture of the group for Ryan (Boddah), so we all got together + my non KIC Member mom, and het took a picture, which can now be seen in another topic. The other KICers decided they would do Wolf Pack at park opening, but I really didn’t think I was ready for Wolf Pack, and this is my first time at Haunt. I also wanted to get pictures from the Eiffel Tower of SOB demolition. The speakers started playing some creepy voiced guy talking, and I wasn’t starting to feel any better. The gates than opened up, and scaractors came running out. I made my way thru them to the entrance. Right when we got in, there was this loud explosion that really scared me. Really caught us all off guard. I then split up with the group to the Eiffel Tower, and we would meet with them again later. I made my way thru some tall scareactors and headed to the Eiffel Tower. Unfortunately, it was closed. SO, what other choice to than Diamondback? We made our way thru the foggy Freak Street, where I did not see any Scareactors. My mom stopped at the restroom, and I watched Jack scare teenagers. When she came back out, we headed over to Diamondback. Diamondback was a walk on, and a great ride. We didn’t get any texts, so we went on Diamondback again for another walk on. Another great ride. Still no texts back, so we headed to The Beast. The Beast was a walk on, and of course a great ride. There wasn’t any fog, though. We got a text back, mentioning going thru Wolf Pak and Club Blood. We also got a text from my dad, saying to meet him at the front gate. I met up with my dad around a bunch of scareactors and such. We ended up walking back to Flight Deck, through some scareactors, and Nightmare Alley and Grimm Blvd. We literally walked on to Flight Deck, and had a great ride. WE then headed over to Delirium, but only me and my mom rode, because my dad dosen’t do Delirium. It began sprinkling while we were in line. We took a ride in the drizzle, which was a lot of fun, after about a 5 minute wait. I decided for my first Haunt, I would try Tombstone Terror Tory when it opened at 8, so we headed over there. My dad was hungry, and saw they were selling Apple Pie at Rivertown Funnel Cakes, so he had to stop there to get some. We waited awhile for it, and he enjoyed it. We were able to meet Jonathan and Matthew in the train station, and waited a few minutes for the train. In the spoiler bar, I have a review on what I thought of Tombstone Terror Tory, which obviously contains spoilers. After Tombstone, my dad was starting to have enough with the rain, and he headed out. Me, Matthew, my mom, and Jonathan got in line for Diamondback. The line was backed up into the queue house, but the line moved really fast, and was probably only 5 minutes. Me and my mom rode a ride before Jonathan and Matthew, because of some line issue stuff. The rain made the ride a lot different, and that rain was just crashing on you. It was a fun, cold ride. When Jonathan and Matthew were done riding, we split up yet again, because they wanted to get some more mazes in, but I really didn’t want to do any more. Me and my mom headed over to The Beast for a rainy night ride. The line was just outside the entrance, but after about 5 minutes, the line still would not move, so we headed to do something else. We decided to do Backlot, which had a pretty short line, about 5 minutes. Backlot was a fun, rainy ride. At this point, I really didn’t see any scareactors anymore. Since it was cold and rainy, we headed over to Flight of Fear. There was a bit of a line outside, and it was about 35 minutes. I watched the movie inside, and enjoyed the heat and dryness while it lasted. It was a fun ride on Flight of Fear. We decided to get something to eat at Hanks, but it was just getting closed up for the night. We were able to meet Matthew and Jonathan in the Festhaus. I got some pizza and ate it in the festhaus. Matthew was getting texts from Coaster Fanatic 2012 and TTD-420-180, or the other way around. We decided to go meet them at Holiday Horror, but we never found them. We got a text back saying they went to Carnevil, but we waited and never was able to see them there either. My mom wanted to go thru Carnevil, but I didn’t, so Matthew took my mom into Carnevil and I waited outside in the rain with Jonathan. We never were able to locate them. By now, it was almost midnight, it was pouring, my shoes and feet were really wet, and it was just getting ugly. So, we decided to leave, and Matthew gave me the KICentral Haunt Night sign as a souvenir. Overall, I had a great first Haunt visit! A couple of notes: *Most of the rides, except for Eiffel Tower, seemed to be open. I’m surprised they were open into the rain. *Due to the rain, there really wasn’t any scareactors throughout the park in the night. *I spotted a raccoon in the festhaus! Thanks for reading!
  7. One of the people in this picture isn't even a member! Yet.
  8. Great trip report Matthew! Glad I got to meet you all!
  9. Thanks for sharing, Brad! I've been waiting for a Haunt TR!
  10. Tried out a strudel at Servatti (Former Pretzel Shop) and it was pretty good. Cost $4, only came in Apple I believe. And, they still have pretzels.
  11. ^I got a picture of it. I don't have time to post it tonight thought. It's just part of the side of one of the old red/yellow trains.
  12. Thunder Alley is no longer offered as a reward on FUN Perks.
  13. I wonder what there doing by the Tomb Raider lockers. Maybe it's part of the Madame Fatale maze?
  14. I was wondering, what does the 50% off FUN Perks ticket in 2 star get you? I thought it might be 50% off an admission ticket, but that would make it cost more than the Bring A Friend $10 Perk in 1 star, and that Dosent make sense to me. So what does Bring A Friend 50% off get you?

Also really glad to see the old Crypt props still being here. And that 2 news reporter better consider himself lucky.
  16. I do sacrifice watching football for a dead day in the park.
  17. According to a friend at school, who heard this from a "worker", in 2014, KI is making The Beast Unlimited, combing the best elements of both The Beast and Son of Beast. I tell him I can't believe him, and that most workers don't even know about the parks future. Of course, he still believes The Beast Unlimited will come in 2014.
  18. It's the only waterpark I've been to this year...

  20. Is that wooden coaster still standing at Americana? I stopped by for a look at it a few weeks ago and didn't see any coasters.
  21. Whatever they were, they were hogging the soft drink machines at Backyard BBQ and also for the worker at Snake Pit.
  22. ^In the 100 degree heat (At least for me).
  23. I didn't know it was new and improved. I'll try it next time I go. And, also, is there anything that could possibly be done with my Thumdet Alley Instant Reward? Or should I just let it be? I never got a chance to use it.
  24. The line was just on the stairs and it was about 5 minutes. As always, it was a very fun ride on Diamondback. After that ride, we headed back to The Beast. The Beast was only a station wait. I noticed the new red/orange/yellow lights in the station were on. The path lit up! It was a great ride on the world’s longest wooden rollercoaster. It was almost time for Lucy and my mom to leave, so we got a last ride for them on The Racer. Only the Red side was operating. From when we passed by Vortex. Racer was a station wait. And it was a fun ride on The Racer. Now, Lucy and my mom had to leave for something, so they left, while me and my dad stayed till close. My dad was hungry (He hasn’t ate in awhile) and wanted “meat”. We were by Hank’s, I asked if he wanted burritos, and he said that would be good. But, of course, it was closed. I then mentioned there was cheesesteaks by Diamondback, so we took a detour and headed there. We got to Snake Pit, my dad ordered a cheesesteak, I scanned my pass for FUN Perks, as he was way behind, and we waited for it. It took around 10 minutes, and then he sat down and ate it. He said I could probably take a quick Diamondback ride, so I went to do that. But, the line was almost to the entrance, around 10-15 minutes, and my dad was getting close to done, so I just went back. After he was done, my dad wanted to go to Flight of Fear, so we headed there. I was hoping for a short line, but I wasn’t sure how it would be. Luckily, the line started in the hangar and was about 10 minutes. “The Swings” of KI. “All Clear. Goodbye.” It was a great ride for us on Flight of Fear. I also noticed green lights outside of the exit, which looked cool. We then headed to Drop Tower. Drop Tower was literally a walk on. They weren’t even assigning seats. It was a great ride. I also noticed some people inside of Timber Wolf. I then decided to see if I was tall enough for Thunder Alley to use my instant reward, which expires on 9/22. I was tall enough. But of course, it was closed. We then ended up walking to Invertigo. There was only a few other people in Invertigo’s station, and we just waited for the cycle to end. It was my first time on Invertigo at night. Not much seems different, except for the lights. It was still a FUN ride. We then headed to The Racer. The Racer was just a station wait. It was also my first ever Racer night ride. It was a fun ride on The Racer. After that, we headed to Vortex. There was absolutely nobody in line. We could have just got the front row, but I wasn’t sure how rough it was, so just to be safe, I went in 5-1. It was a very fun ride on Vortex. There was nobody in our row, so we stayed on. Another great ride. I love putting my legs up (or down) on the first drop and corkscrews. Now, this next picture could only mean one thing. A Beast night ride! We walked right up to the station, but just missed a ride before the fireworks break. We waited for fireworks in The Beast station. I’ve learned The Beast station isn’t the best place to watch fireworks. Not the best view. But, after about 30 minutes of waiting, we got on. It, was, of course, an awesome night ride on The Beast, the best night ride coaster in the world. After that ride, the park was closed, and we walked to the entrance. We walked thru Snoopy’s Starlight Spectacular on the way to the car. We walked thru the lit up International Street, and then out of the entrance. Goodnight Kings Island! A couple of notes: *Mostly the water rides and pay rides were closed for part of the time, but opened up later. *Lots of Haunt decorations, as you can tell, are being set up. It also seems The Crypt back doors are still half open . *I’m 65% to Level 4 and have just unlocked Bring A Friend Free, $20 off a 2013 pass, Free Dinosaurs Alive, Free fresh baked pretzel, free Sling Shot, and VIP Fireworks Viewing. Also, as mentioned, a fellow KICer Keith Harrison (Kifan1980) has passed away from cancer. I never knew him, but I know people who knew him. Rest in peace. Thanks For Reading
