Cedar Point to remove Disaster Transport & Space Spiral for B&M Wing
Cedar Point originally said Space Spiral would remain open until Labor Day Weekend. We all know that didn't happen, so I wonder when it will be demolished? At the Gatekeeper event they said they wouldn't be gentle with it, so I want to see the demolition. I hope someone films it!

The animation makes it look like it goes 90mph . A great coaster nonetheless!

Kings Dominion Teaser
A Soak City expansion sounds likely. Maybe they'll get the world's largest Tornado slide or something like that.

Cedar Point's Gatekeeper: Your reaction?
The best thing I am noticing is the constant speed. I haven't been on a wing coaster yet, but from watching X-Flight testing in May and online POVs, they all seem to have pacing issues (awesome first drop, 'meh' rest.) Gatekeeper appears to go fast through the keyholes as well, which isn't something Chicago can say.

What will take SOB's place?
A towering idle wooden coaster, faded pavement, faded signs, Delirium barely working half the time, Invertigo and its spotty operation. THAT area is pretty spooky, too!

Cedar Point to remove Disaster Transport & Space Spiral for B&M Wing
I do hope that Gatekeeper is just a code name. That doesn't sound like the name of a big bad coaster. They might as well call it the hedgetrimmer, or the janitor. Gravekeeper on the other hand would be cool, with black track and a scary theme.

Silver Dollar City 2013 Coaster
No. It's second. http://www.rcdb.com/rhr.htm?t=2 Oh. My bad I thought Colossus was the fastest.

Silver Dollar City 2013 Coaster
They also put that it would be the second fastest wooden coaster at 68 mph. Wouldn't that make it the third fastest?

Flight Deck Removal?
Flight Deck has been closed for 2 days. The entrances and exits are roped off and blocked with benches.

Son of Beast roller coaster to be removed
Flight Deck was closed yesterday. Is it operating today? They put benches in from of Sob's exit and trash cans in front of Flight Deck's entrance with a temporarily closed sign. Is it closed for mechanical reasons or will it be closed for the entire SOB demolition? Or is it part of SOB's demolition?

This is going to be a great coaster whether you call it wood or steel. Who cares!

I just hope Flight Deck isn't on the chopping block for this future expansion. One thing is for sure, even when SOB is long gone, all threads will still go to it sooner or later.

The Super Dooper Rumor thread
Yes Yeah - it seems lately that some posters are trying to create a broad thread for wide ranging topics. It was done by Gordon (and rightly so in my opinion) for SoB because that SBNO coaster has a history on his website of generating many overlapping and hard to moderate discussions. Since then, we've seen it proposed for Soak City, Rumors, Down Rides, and a couple of individual rides. This, unfortunately reminds me of the TPR super topic approach (where all KI is in one thread) - not the path I'd like to see KIC take. With a touch or irony, I'd suggest that those of us who aren't moderators (and/or acting in that capacity with the support of the moderators like Gordon) should probably just focus on adding to existing topics or creating a new one if we have a unique enough topic to start and a search doesn't show the same topic already being discussed. Finally, I couldn't agree more. I've only been on here a year and a half and it seems this forum has spiraled out of control. Veteran members have left, and expert, all-knowing theme park engineers have came in. They seem to know all the rumors, everything the parks are getting next year and so much more. Most of the threads are not thread-worthy. I love new members joining, don't get me wrong, but they need to learn how to navigate the forum before making new threads that are either reposts or generic blubber.
