  1. I gave PKI a suggestion on the site feedback page. I do understand that not having both tolls open has to do with staffing. But come on, at least have both open until 12pm or something. It would really help on the congestion on Kings Island Drive.
  2. Same design, I don't think they click as far down as before though. I rode The Beast and Racer by myself today, and normally when I pulled the bar down in the empty seat it would go all the way down. It stops now about 2 inches from the seat.

No Top Gun didn't get any TLC over the off season. The track looks horrible. The tracks look almost rusty.
  4. I think they were having trouble with the floor again. I also seen a Maintence working on top of it today too.
  5. Another notable change. Prices have really got outragous. For a 20 ounce drink is now $3.29 which used to be only $2 something. A Large drink is now $3.49 which used to be $2.99 I believe. I think with the rising gas prices this is not going to be good for the park. But I guess if people are willing to pay that price they will keep the price as it stands. Also the ice cream cones are tiny now. I was going to get an ice cream cone, but was not going to pay $2.99 for a cone with just a little bit of ice cream. They are not even half the size they were last year. They no longer offer a child size cone. I guess the $2.99 price is the same size of cone that was a child size last year.
  6. I arrived on Kings Island Drive at about 10:55am, to find only one toll gate open. It took about 30 minutes to get thru the traffic and actually in the parking lot. I was a little disapointed with only one toll booth open, with all that traffic.
  7. I noticed The Vortex sign right away. I'm going to miss those light's around the sign though. I also thought the lap bars on Racer, and The Beast were different from years past.
  8. Wow alot of typo's in that. I'm surprised they even let that go to print. Whoever was responsabale for that story doesn't know what they are talking about.
  9. Face/Off is one of those rides, that is still fun, even if you don't have anyone to ride with. Just being about to sit face to face it something different.
  10. It's a gold pass.

it's about the time. I hope this means that Drop Zone will be operating this weekend.
  12. From the list...Drop Zone got my vote.
  13. I'm still coming. Besides they said it was going to rain here today in Dayton, and it didn't do a thing. So it may rain and it may not.
  14. This has been discussed to death. But I hope Vortex doesn't leave within the next 5 years. The Carolina Cyclone at Carowinds has been in operation for 26 years. It opened in 1980. Corkscrew at Cedar Point been in operation for 30 years, it opened in 1976. So I think as long as Vortex is maintained well, it should be around for a while.
  15. April 12th Photos Here is the hidden photo. Hidden Photo It looking good. Alot more theming has been added. I'm sure by Friday this area is going to look great.
  16. Yet again another change to the Friday forcast. Enough is enough already. Here is the latest. Fri Apr 14 AM T-Storms 79°/58° 40%
  17. ^ LOL Update to weater.com. Now only a 10 pecent chance of rain on Friday, with highs in the upper 70's. Well I looked at the forcast again. Changed yet again. This time is says a 70 pecent chance of thunderstroms. Why do they keep changing the forcast. This is driving me insane.
  18. I think we will be fine. On weather.com, they are forcasting a chance of storms on Friday, but only a 30% chance, with a high of 76. It is that time of the year. April showers bring May flowers.
  19. I noticed in one of the Nick Photos from the PKI exclusive tour, that the Skyline sign was down. Anyone know if it still will be Skyline for 2006, or is something different moving in. I thought the only reason they put Skyline up there late in the season last year, was so they could serve Skyline at Winterfest.
  20. It's only a 40 percent chance. If it does storm the rides will shut down, but will re-open as soon as possible. I don't think it's going to be a bad day at all. I can only hope that these storms in the forcast may scare some people away.
  21. Good one. I can't agree more with that statement. But of course I don't have to worry about the $10 parking fee with my season pass.
  22. My favorite park outside of PKI would probably have to be Cedar Point. With PCW being a close second behind Cedar Point.
  23. I don't think it's overrated. It's still the world's longest wooden coaster, after 27 years.
  24. I ride it because it's their LOL. No seriously though it's still ranked as one of the best coasters around. So i'm just glad to have it so close by. Also it's the funniest coaster I have ever ridden in the dark. You get that out of control feeling at night.
