  1. At the moment, my 6 year old is 47.5 inches, with shoes he is right at 48. He is very excited to try racer and blsc. He may grow a bit before we can get to the park later this summer, but if he doesn't, do you guys think he will be able to ride or will we have issues getting on some rides?
  2. I would have to agree this will most likely be a Beemer. With most of the steel coaster installs being from B&M, and the few Intamins have had issues. Intamin's tend to be more wild and crazy, but B&M just seems safer and more reliable.
  3. My best guess is a B and M giga. One idea I have though is a giga that has inversions after the mid-course break. The drop from the break would probably be between 100 to 150 feet which would be great for a couple of loops, a zero g roll, etc. I know it's a little outside the box, but the space is available for it. It would also be extremely unique.
  4. Do you have any photo's of Flight of Fear being built or of the smurf's ride?
  5. I made a poll so we could debate this democratically. http://www.KICentral.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=23549
  6. Lets make a final decision on this! I vote yes.
  7. Just talking about a ride that I really enjoy.

To be in the kids section of the park, this ride is awesome. I personally feel that this ride should qualify as a "shuttle coaster", but I guess my opinion on the matter won't make this ride KI's 15th active coaster.
  9. Thanks Terp, I now have filled my quota for learning something today.
  10. My bad about the trims, I was under the impression that the drop trims were added later.
  11. If I had gotten to ride The Beast before it was neutered with trims, it might be my favorite at the park. But I am a sucker for large amounts of air time, so my pick goes to Diamondback. As for the kiddie coasters, none compare to the awesomeness that is The Beastie (Woodstock Express).
  12. This has probably been done before, but I didn't see it in the forums, so here you are. Tell everyone what your favorite coaster at the park is.
  13. I remember riding it when I was a kid, it was a bunch of fun. I remember the ride ops had to push the car around to the lift.
  14. I can't wait to hear this big announcement about S.O.B!! I wasn't impressed with WindSeeker when it was first announced. But after seeing the seats, and how fast it spins, I think it will be INSANE. Long live The Crypt.
  15. This is looking more and more like a walk thru. Hopefully it will look as good as some of the pics people have posted lately. Not that this won't be "thrilling", especially for kids, I just wonder if there is more to it than a walk thru. Not necessarily a ride vehicle, but a year round haunt attraction. It could be done in a creepy atmosphere where you have to "survive" from being eaten. This is just a random thought. If i was a betting man, I would say its just a walk thru.
  16. That thing is huge! While i will be slightly disappointed if this isn't theming for a coaster, i still think its cool. I have never done a life-size dino walkthrough and it will be cool. My son will love it. Hopefully the movements of them will be on par w/ disney. If they are intended to be a permanent attraction, I sure hope KI will maintain them.
  17. Based off the clues, I think its going to be a new area behind Racer. Since guests will be able to get a look at the construction from Racer and WindSeeker, I think this is for 2012. It will probably feature multiple attractions, but they probably won't all open in 2012. Fingers crossed for a coaster in 2012, and then other rides and attractions in the next few years to come.
  18. The Dippin Dots guy told me we are getting a 600ft wooden flyer that jumps track at 318.11 feet in the air. It hits 250 mph using the longest LIM run ever. See what i did with the reveal date
  19. @Coasternerd I was just throwing it out there. I have no idea what its going to be. As for never removing Vortex, I have to disagree. It may not be this year, but eventually it will come down. If the park is still there 100 years from now, it will have a completely different set of rides and coasters. If it is a coaster, i still really hope its something like Cheetah at BGT. That ride looks awesome and it would work great back in the woods.
  20. New themed area behind racer w/ restaurants, shows rides and a coaster. Removal of Vortex and replacing it with a B&M Invert. And TG style rework of SOB. The largest capital investment in park history, 100 million dollars.
  21. It would be awesome it we get something along the lines of Cheetah Hunt in Tampa. Maybe the longest steel coaster out in the woods behind The Racer. This is me just daydreaming, but you never know. First Post.
