  1. I hope it's a larger arena for Half Pint Brawlers.
  2. Actually, I'd wager that they're quite different. Some Intamin Gyro Drops like our Drop Tower do feature a very small elevator on the interior as well as rigging for climbing the structure. Judging by the pictures of WindSeeker it doesn't look as if it will have a similar elevator feature.
  3. One of which you've never ridden, so how do you have an opinion on it already? On opening day I'll buy two tickets at the buffet. One for my American self and one to make up for the meal you would've purchased. I won't need two tickets, so I'll give one away to the first family with young kids I see. This way your boycott and points are moot and I helped a nice parkgoing family save some cash - well technically you did. Golly jeepers. Why did you ever visit the park before it had Diamondback? I just glanced briefly at the operating calendars for this year and last, correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't it only a few days less that they're open this year and didn't they add more of staying open till midnight on some nights? I bet you'll still have plenty of "dead days" where you can do nothing but ride Diamondback. Why wish misfortune on a park that so many people love? You take the Acer "right of entitlement" stereotypes to new levels.
  4. Because I don't think the Peanuts Pirates go around killing innocent people. Rather, they probably sing and dance while entertaining children, a skill Somali Pirates lack. You and I both know this, but the hypersensitive politically correct crowd does not share our sense of reality. This is true, but, I don't think this is going to be a big deal. I enjoy a copy of USA Today and a cup of coffee often and that was the first I had heard about that incident, maybe I missed it. It be one thing if this was "Snoopy's Somali Pirate Adventure," but in a day and age where these scrupulous acts happen on the swashbuckling seas and Captain Feathersword/Pirates of the Carribean are popular as ever - I doubt the kids show at a local amusement park is going to catch much flack.

  6. Seriously, this topic has NOTHING to do with Diamondback or Beast. I'd like to see some upgrades on Crypt, but I'd like to see a new ride even more. Beat me to it. Glad I'm not the only one who has this kind of image come to mine.
  7. ^When the posts are as ridiculous as yours, yes. And not all of them have been calling whiny enthusiasts out. One complimented the landscaping in the park since Cedar Fair took over.
  8. The Beast was built during the Taft years, not during the Paramount years. Also, Winterfest was discontinued during the Paramount years except for 1 year. For me, the attempt at theming KI around movies just didn't work for me who grew up during the glory Taft years at KI. One of the reasons that I am pleased with Cedar Fair is that they seem to be going back to KI's roots during the Taft years, including bringing back the wonderful live shows. I agree. I think Cedar Fair with the renovation of Coney Mall is getting back to that "Classic Amusment Park" feel every season. One thing that has impressed me each season is the continued addition of landscaping.
  9. CP opens May 14th, that's only 2 weeks after KI. If I remember right the cement was already poured and curing two weeks ago. Maybe KI is farther along because they're relying so heavily on it to be the cornerstone of the park's ERT!! Whoops....... too soon? Whoops. Too soon?
  10. Are you kidding me, brother? Didn't we have a topic about this? Cedar Fair Pros: WindSeeker and Vortex ERT. Paramount Pros: Selling the parks to Cedar Fair so that one day they would build a WindSeeker that passholders could have an ERT on.
  11. ^I just don't see how Raptor Guy can be so mad about the ride when clearly many people in that video have nothing but nice things to say about it.
