  1. Yes gigas mostly do use square/rectangle footers, but blitz coasters use round footers.
  2. True pine is sometimes very weak, depending on the grade. My company uses a high grade of pine inside of barges to hold up 6500-8500 lbs steel coils, this works very well its cheap yet strong to do the job. Wow, thats pretty strong, but could it hold approximately 13,000 pounds( train+people)under all of the forces of Son of Beast.
  3. No, I mean it looks like I could have made it. The boards are just placed in random places. I completely agree. I have always thought that the structure was very loose( and by that i mean that it looks like not enough wood was used and that it looks unfinished).Ive also always wondered why its made out of pine which i always thought was a very weak type of wood.
  4. Great trip report! sounds like you had an interesting day.
  5. ^ I agree seeing what you said I checked it out and at the beginning there is an explosion and i thought it kind of looked like the silhouette of a bird.
  6. im very excited to find out what is coming to CW next year. I hope its an intamin because its something that a lot of parks including CW lack.
  7. Diamondback vs. Magnum XL Racer vs. Blue Streak The Beast vs. Mean Streak Drop Tower vs. Power Tower (drop side) WindSeeker KI vs. WindSeeker CP Delirium vs. MaXair Flight Deck vs. Iron Dragon Adventure Express vs. Cedar Creek Mine Ride Viking Fury vs. Ocean Motion
  8. I've been wanting to go to Holiday world for a while but havent gotten around to it because i dont think it would be thrilling enough, but if they put in a large flat ride i might just have to go.
  9. ^and ^^thanks, ive been thinking about how to summarize a whole day for a while. I guess that worked.
  10. Hi, This is my first trip report and 2nd post( i joined last year but sort of forgot about my account). We left Indianapolis/my house around 8:30 and drove the 2 1/2 hours to the park, from what i remember it was pretty hot and i slept most of the way. When we got to the park we waited about 45 minutes to get passed the parking booth area and we parked. We entered the park at about 11:30 and headed to Invertigo to start the day. After that we headed to flight deck and rode that a few times. Then, my mom and i rode Adventure Express. Next, I went off on my own and rode Diamondback about 7 times ( I felt like a small child on a playground slide ) while my mom ate lunch. Then, we rode crypt twice and headed for The Beast, the line was pretty much walk-on! so we rode that and then we took a break and left the park to go to jungle jims(if you've never been there it is a massive, amazing supermarket). When we got back to the park we both rode Diamondback. When that was over we headed to juke box diner and shared a surprisingly good cheese burger. I finished mine first so while she finished hers i headed to WindSeeker to try it out and it was pretty fun but i thought it was kind of just a large rotating observation tower. When i finished that i met back up with my mom and we went back to Invertigo the line was the shortest ive ever seen it, the end was under the yellow awning. It was getting pretty late so we rode Delirium and ended the day at about 9:45. P.S I hope this was how you are supposed to write trip reports. i wasnt really sure so i hope this was acceptable.
  11. I know most people won"t agree with me here, but i think Invertigo needs some help for example the paint on the supports is very faded and considering it is one of only 4 Vekoma inverted boomerangs in existence I think KI should work on it and then market it for that reason.
