the two rides have been there for a very long time although they might of got a new look. They were there when i worked the 04-05 season

I worked there in the 04-05 season i would say the rides were always kinda nasty there. As far as the lifeguarding staff there they were underequiped last time i checked the shallow water guards were not equipped with rescue tubes and if they would have to rescue someone the senerio could turn deadly.(sorry about the spelling)

benred just a theory on why the chairs are teathered. One possibility is to make sure if one of the 1 ton arms (estimated weight) breaks off that it just hangs there instead of killing whoever might be under or near the ride. As the ride is still in testing im sure its just to make sure nothing bad happens but like i said im not sure just a theory.

i remember during the 2003 season Paramount closed the park due to low attendance i think the attendance was like 100 - 150 people

so question when the river floods the pool do you just filter and treat it once the river goes down or do you have to drain it?

I wonder what SOB would be like with a total rehab and those new timberliner trains?

Has anyone thought about this only being a temporary thing and that the parks true intentions are to add a new section of rides to the park in the coming years. I could honestly see them just doing this DA as a prep to opening a new ride area.

Kings Island i would have to say has seen better days as a CF park. 4 new attractions since CF took it over. Firehawk, Dimondback, WindSeeker, Dino Unleashed. The only thing that i will say is that the themeing has gone way down. I like Adventure Express for its theming although i will admit the Quality has gone down. It makes the ride more fun.

From what i can tell in the video on the site there appears there is a maintenance door at the bottom you can clearly see it.

Actually the Security Cars do have Lightbars on top also little interesting fact. If you press 911 on any phone in the park you get deverted to Kings Islands Command Center ( Should know ive done it as a Employee) Also the the Iffel Tower has a cell phone tower running through it that services the whole park. if you call 911 in the park on your cell the same thing happens. Kings Island has its own Police, Jail, Fire department, and EMS(First Aid),

Has Anyone seen Photos of the Old Themed Ride Operators Uniforms for Top gun and others. I remember hearing about them when i worked at PKI but always liked that idea rather than a uniform that everyone is wearing.

OMG this brought back memories they really need to bring this ride back.

Kings Island Just announced a Animatronic Dinosaur Park so im pretty sure that that is what this is.

I remember in 2003 that we were told to wear special uniform peices when i worked White Water Canyon sponsored by Huntington Bank. They were these visors with the banks logo on them. I remember i lost mine within 2 weeks lol.

Ok I know im weird but ive heard rumors of the Park being haunted can anyone confirm or deny these claims??? Any Experiences

If memory serves me right there was a 2-2 1/2 foot clearance in 03'

I wanted to bring this up because of the concern ive had about flight deck AKA TOP GUN Last Night I was at the park and i had a blast the only problem i saw was on Flight Deck ive noticed that the shock absorbers that control the swing of the boat seem to have a lot of give in them. I was riding and i would have to say we were only 12 inches from hitting the posts that support the track about 2 times. while coming into the storage track area we even hit went 90 degrees to the deck. Anyone have this experience?? Ive worked this ride in 03 part time and we never came that close to hitting anything in 03. I might not know what im talking about I dont know i just know that it freaked me out.
