You might can see more in 1974, but knowing first hand the heat of the days when the lil' pink Snoopys are soaking in the fountain, big trees and shade in 2011 look better to me. I'll bet you enjoyed getting to stand in the shade while you were matching the shots, huh? This is great stuff!

They may be difficult, but they're not rigged. Didn't say "rigged". Being set up to favor the park makes business sense to me. Maybe those big ol' turtles will help bring a coaster in 2013.

Actually, I think Bank-a-ball and most of those other carnival games might be set up to favor the park. Just guessing. '74 definitely. Muchly prefer grass to monstrous fabric turtles!

2011!!! I'll trade Skee Ball for a chance to ride FoF everyday! I never got to ride The Flying Eagles, but I'm pretty sure I'd prefer Firehawk. About Subway, we love to walk by there and smell the bread baking (we never get anything there except water). I've read here about a Wonder bread outlet and the smells coming out of there, think of Subway providing an updated version of that smell sensation. Great shots and thread, thanks again.

Your work on matching these shots is very impressive!! Another thing to keep in mind is that you didn't know what millimeter the lens size was on the original photos. I know it doesn't sound like a big deal, but not having that information definitely would make it more difficult to duplicate. A 100mm lens fifty feet away from the lamp post will give a different perspective than a 50mm lens twenty five feet away. You did some hard work very well. Thank you for sharing.

Our definite favorite Haunt. Had a new experience friday though. In the bubble room, my wife's jacket got coated in whatever black light substance is in the bubbles (paint, powder,?) I wiped it with my hands but it only spread and coated my hands. I stopped a supervisor near the end and showed her and she said, "don't worry, as soon as you go outside it will disappear." It wasn't visible outside, but her coat was still wet so we wiped it with our hands til it felt dry. We went through Boo Blasters and our arms were coated with whatever it was. Washed our hands afterwards but I still don't know if it's on her coat. kicarnevil, do you know what it is, why so much got on her, and will it go away on it's own or do we have to get it dry cleaned? Also the scaractors in the sideshow on the way to Holiday Haunt did a great job of scaring the crap out of us. Definitely our favorite outside area. All of you are doing great work!

I also noticed the gravestone and coffin seem to be sinking into the ground......it is, after all close to Vortex!

Never been to Winterfest before, Seeing it though you father's photographic eye, these are truly the best photos I've ever seen of this event. Thank you for sharing your memories. Time will help you cope with your loss, best wishes from a stranger.

Maybe this should be posted under "guest do some really $h!@#$ things" I don't know what you all call the electric chair guy in Coney Mall, but Friday night everything was fine, but today I noticed some "guest"(insert expletive here) peeled off all of the outer skin/plastic covering on his left hand leaving only the inner foam.

Nightmare Alley is very cool, all the scare actors were great! Don't miss this, and don't miss Holiday Horror either.

Depending on the size of your closet, one will almost fill it up! They're really big.
